Hmm, I watched this video a few times last night and I still don't see it. Looks like it just bounced around in his hand to me.

I don't get it either.. First off the camera is still at least 150 feet above the ground when the clip ends. Second, if the camera actually did hit the ground (for this situation, yes) than the clip would be corrupted and un-playable.

^Agree, look on the channel of this guy who made this video.
All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

Okay, this appears to be fake, but for all of you saying that a camera couldn't fall off a ride and survive, or even have retrievable data: I have seen video from a camera which came off the high-power rocket it was attached to and free-fell 1900 feet, hit the ground, and continued to record video while on the ground. Look:

A camera would at least have a chance of surviving falling off a coaster.

^ The video you mention was not recorded with a standard digital camera.. I have personally accidentally dropped my old digital camera before. It was roughly a 7 foot fall onto a hard wood floor. I was unable to play back any of the video as it was a corrupted file. When cameras record things these days they are not recorded raw! They are automatically encoded in close to real time! With an abrupt end in power or any number of other issues the camera will not end the file correctly.

I have seen a video from a camera dropped from the last overbank turn on MF. So close to being the coolest guy on you tube with a POV of MF and FAIL...

Generally speaking, the electronics that people loose off the major rides are returned in very small pieces.
