I meant for this topic to show what you have done in sketch up, because I can't be the only one who has done random crap in it.. So here are a few things I have done...

Awesome. This is the kind of stuff I love to do as well.

The second one is a really nice design, that house could have a lot of character.

My only question to you would be: what are you basing your wall thickness off? Especially your exterior walls. And have you identified interior load bearing walls?

The top one was based off a floor plan I found off a website, it was meant for a cabin. The second I kind of based off the project I am doing in my Architectural Class in school. It is completely my design. and no, I have not decided on the Interior walls, I don't know if I'm going to keep them the way they are, I might change it still, I don't know. The exterior walls are 6" If I remember correctly (at School right now)

I don't use SketchUp, but in 3dsMax I like to use shadows.

I rushed that one, didn't really change any default MR settings.

Sketchup is just soooooo easy to work with compared to other modeling programs. Of course, this ease of use also brings with it incredibly limited functionality, but hey, there's a trade-off for everything, right? By the way, those house models are AWESOME!

I just started using this literally today so I decided to start with the house I was working on for school, I could only remember a few dimensions so I just did the floor and the garage
What are these for?

^Not bad. Don't forget to add thickness to the walls and roof.
