http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0GBoLU6gBA Whats with the banging sounds when the ride is doing it's course? Is that sound normal for a B&M coaster?

That is from the track and supports flexing under the forces of the ride. Its normal for older B&M inverts.

That sounds horrible. Talon doesn't sound like that.

Is this one of the B&M's where the box spine is filled with sand to muffle the "roar" of the ride?

Not sure if Montu is or not but both Talon and Hydra has the entire track and support sections filled with sand. Though on Talon, its not working anymore.

Nemesis does that a bit, normally towards the end of season.

Nah, that is just the sound of Montu's awesomeness trying to escape!
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I can't say I've ever heard it. There is sometimes a fair racket coming from the zero g roll section, when you're standing on that bit of queue under the zero g roll, by the loop.

It could be that that particular train is near the end of its rotation. BGT is a year round park, so they rotate the trains through the maintenance shed. There are 5 trains in total, with three on the track and two in the shed.

^Doesn't it have four trains? I thought BGT bought their B&Ms with one more train than they would be able to run.

Yeah, It might be four. Perhaps I miscounted when I was there.

It's not common, only heard it a few times in the queue under the 0-g. It would happen more if we had a higher percentage of fat people on the trains, but we aren't America, so yeah...

You mean you don't have the people on the motorized wheelchair/scooter things who are perfectly capable of walking but are just too lazy/fat over there?

Considering its only one click for every seam between the segments,it probably means that one of the cars have a very tight and worn down wheel system, and it probably makes it because there was nobody in the car and it was light enough to make little clicks even on the littlest seams.

But alpengeist NEVER does that so idk.

Afterburn doesn't make these sounds either.

St Louis. It's sorta sounds like a click or a snap, it's in between the loop and zero-g. It's pretty forceful right there, I start to lose my vision partially there.

I take that back. Hydra made the same sound today. It had a bad wheel so that could have been the cause.
