What do you think of cats? My roommate has one and this is a summary of its daily activities:

*Wakes owners up at 6:30AM, who put it outside of their room and close the door so it can roam around and bother everyone else
*Sleeps once everyone leaves
*Demands to be petted and then bites people within 1 second of petting her
*Poops under the Christmas tree
*Bites people again
*Knocks over its food dish

Overall the animal is a royal pain in the ass, is untrainable, and largely ignores everyone unless it wants food or is biting you. I can't pick it up to try and get it out of my room because it's floppy and it just starts biting. Only three more weeks of this...

PS - Sorry Jayman don't take this personally. The one I live with gashed my head open good with its teeth last night.

When I was little we used to have a cat. It peed on all of my toys an constantly scratched/bit me. Its ashes are in our kitchen drawer.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I've never actually had a cat (or any pet for that matter), but if I were to get a pet, it'd be a cat. That is, until I heard these horror stories......

My sister who lives over in Illinois has a cat. It's not that bad, but I'd still rather not have one. I like dogs.

If someone brings a cat to my house, I'll kick the cat out. I am highly allergic to them and will kick anyones cat out of my house [:)] Plus they are evil!

Me. I have two cats, and I freaking love them, even if they are a bit whiny [lol]

In addition, I've met several other cats, and none have acted the way you described, at least not to me.

I'm not sure why your roomate's cat is biting, CKMWM. Do you know if he or she has been declawed?

I have a cat, had two...but one died recently...[:(]

The one we still have is the most loving and cute cat you could ever see. I guess they vary, we've had her since she was a kitty, so she's used to us. She's not really a whiner, and is one to snuggle up with you, she's too much lol.

My cat doesn't bite, scratch or hiss. She never leaves the house. Her problems are she never stops meowing and begging. All she thinks about all day is food, sleeping and getting pet. I would be bored out of my mind but oh well; she's cute.

I'm a fish person and my pet Oscar bites anyone and everyone. It will jump up out the water and bite your finger if you taunt it. Several people have learned that lesson to not taunt my fish. It will also splash you for attention. [:D]

My cats (I have 3) are all quite nice and are actually brainy! They seem to get out and do stuff with people more than most cats. Used to have one that watched Robot Wars lol.

I love cats. They are not allowed in the house, only the garage and poop only in the garden or litterbox. Plus they keep our house mouse-free.

As selfish and demanding as they are, I can't help but love them. They're too darn cute!

Our cat that passed away was sick with "sand" blockage in his bladder. His urine was blood red, and they had to stick a cathiter into his...yeah, to get it unblocked and his urine purified, it was poisoning his liver. And his "yeah" was so blocked that they had to use a FERRET-sized needle! There was alot more done as well, and we spent alot of money trying to get him better. He was for a couple of months, but then he started waining again, and we had to take him into the pound.

It was one of the hardest days of my life.[:(]

I prefer dogs, but cats are fine with me. I had one when I was much younger, it died of old age having read 20 years old, just about. My mate has a dog and a cat and they are a barrel of laughs, always play fighting each other. His dog is a massive German Shepherd, but the cat always kicks its ass [lol]

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.
