How high are the G forces at the first low turn on Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion? Are they 4.5, less or more?

No way would they be sustained at 4.5 for that long. It may spike that high somewhere on the ride, but I would say for the most part it would probably be around 3.5 or so.

That turn lasts quite a while, and forces that wouldn't normally seem that bad, when prolonged, can do that...and either way that was an estimation. It could be more.

I'm sure it's in the 4 section. It's in the 3 section for the helices on the SROSes in SFA and Darien Lake.

Uhm... Damn. That's like riding a bullet.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

6.3 I believe (well, it is according to RCDB). Tower of Terror at Gold Reef City in South Africa. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I've rode the thing. The first turn is known for making people zone out and drool from the wind. Maybe in between 3.5 and 4.5.

Tower of Terror isn't anywhat sustained gs at all though. It's a g spike.

I rode that ride, and it didn't feel that strong at all. It probably was 6.3 g's, but it was over so quickly that I didn't even feel it. There is a big difference between having 6.3 g's for like 1/4 of a second, and sustaining any amount of g's over a long duration. Mission: Space is only like 2.5 g's at the most, and yet people keep passing out on it because it is sustained for like 8 seconds.

It probably is a g spike. 6 gs sustained will cause even an astronaut or fighter pilot to black out.

I rememberd Moonsault Scramble had the record, something around 6.7 G's.Actually I think it was a Meisho,so that tells us everything!Man,these japanese are little satans (Masters of Pain=MOP)![devilish][lol]
All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

I seem to remember the coasters with the most force are in this position:
1. Tower of Terror
2. Mindbender (West Edmonton Mall)
3. Knightmare

I think that was it.

That and all of the boomerangs line up. I also remember hearing that KK and TTD have 5.1 (no rcdb) so, I would say that no matter what that is wrong. Knightmare only has 5.

I highly doubt that either of the two Intamin strata-coasters pull G-forces that high. Considering the pull up/out reaches almost halfway up the tower, I would think the force is not nearly that high.

I agree with AyTrane in my own defense! 5.1 is beyond what Intamin has ever done and if there was a coaster to do it it wouldn't be TTD or KK.

AKA Tsunami as it's now called. I don't know, but it would pull around 5.1 gs. so Knightmare's off the list.

Mindbender at the West Edmonton mall hit 5.8 until "modification". Now the ride features 5.2g's.

If there is a G-Force record out there, I'm sure Schwarzkopf had something to do with it.

moonsault scramble got in the 6.5 range when it was still open I believe.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.
