Its May...... YES!!!
Haha! I just recently heard of this project. I can say that the effort you put into this is crazy! And you are an awesome hand builder too! I, along with any other person who knows of this project, is excited to see the final product!

Yes, it is beside the petting zoo. I walk down it every time I go to CP to take pictures.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

So I thought of a cool idea. What if you made a second version of the ride, but with colored lift supports so it could be ridden in the "Starry Night" environment or whatever and it'd look like MF @ night..........something tells me that would instantly become the single sexiest NL coaster ever...

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

That would be a really cool idea, however.. Creating lift supports that could be still visible via lights while using the "Starry Night" environment would be a bit of a stretch. Maybe in NoLimits 2 we might see lights, but I still think it's a stretch. I like the idea though.

I think he ment by coloring the supports to make it make it look like they are colored by light

I know that with Real's TTD recreation, his environment showed uplighting and you could use that in order to show the color changes.

EDIT: Something similar at least
Just keep scrolling...

I gotcha! Hmm.. That may work, I'm not too sure I'm not really big into the whole lighting in NoLimits. I mess up way too much, it probably could work, but I'm not sure. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Sobek!

Can't you use 3ds to create lights? I think I've seen that before.

With 3d supports it'd be much easier to make it look almost realistic, but you can't actually add artificial lighting points - yet.

You could modify the light source in the environment file so that it points from downwards, giving a more lively appearance to the ride. Also, using a custom skybox would be a good idea; you never really see the stars at Cedar Point.

Despite the lack of light sourcing, there are still some tricks out there to make rides look more interesting. I worked on it a bit on this ride:

Going to see that ride on youtube just made my day.

Something I did not want to know about though was when I went to check out TMV888's account (after seeing he was the last poster)...seeing a video named "Mountain Dew D*ck Sauce" on his playlist...really?

I didn't need to know that you made videos like that so...[blah]
"Don't be a disability"... yep, still keeping that. :P

AyTrane - How exactly are you building the que-path? I've always had trouble building my own.

Also, any release date maybe set?

^ Or preferably 3DS Max or other programs designed to handle the .3ds format properly. Anim8or works better than Sketchup (more flexible modelling tools as well, or so it seems) but lacks complete .3ds exporting functuality as well as .png textures.
