OK ... look ... I'm beyond annoyed now and I have to say this.

First we have school kids being sent home for wearing a T-Shirt with the United States Flag on "Cinco de Mayo" in California: STORY HERE ......... BUUUUUT, it's PERFECTLY OK for immigrants to carry the United States Flag on May Day and act like it's a beach towel by wrapping it around themselves? LIKE HERE and HERE???

Ummmmmm, can ANYONE explain this to me?

Nice compromise boys ... real nice. Morons.

I just read that story, too. It's disgraceful that some of the Mexican-American students felt it was disrespectful to wear an American flag t-shirt on Cinco de Mayo. The fact that they get to celebrate a Mexican holiday in the United States is a privilege, so they have no right to consider it disrespectful.

The primary concern is gang control. ALL matching headbands, shirts, etc are not tolerated. A gang could easily just make american flag bandanas their dress code and use that to get around the rule, so they're preventing that. I know this is the case in the Chicago school system deoending on how "rough" the neighborhood is.

am i surprised? nope am i angry about it? yes.. and i actually believe the kids who wore it were indeed wearing it to be "provocative" for lack of a better word, but who cares. damn, i thought id never have to live in a time when i had to be one of the people saying " this is america, that is our flag if you dont like it look the other way or leave."

Ok, they are immigrating to AMERICA. They should expect to see the AMERICAN flag. If I went to Germany on the fourth of July, and told them to take down the German flag, they would probably laugh at me or worse.

The shouldn't have been sent home. They should have left them there to have their ass kicked for the derogatory comments they were saying. They weren't sent home just because of the clothes, but of what they were saying and the reaction the crowd was taking at them for what they said to the crowd. The priority of the school is safety for the students and in this case, to save them from getting their ass kicked for what they were saying, they were sent home to end the altercations going on that they caused. Get all the facts before making your assumptions.

Don't even get me started on this kind of stuff. Here in England there is, once again, an underlying racial hatred brewing that you can expect to see blowing up on a large scale.

Main issues are things like the fact that there is plans in place for a "super mosque" and Islam village to be built in the centre of a working class town near to where I live. Obviously there are a lot of people who object to this and there have been violent protests (on a small scale), but if the plans do go ahead, which seems inevitable, then there will be Islam blood in the streets for certain.

We have had similar cases here, of people being ordered to remove The St George's Cross from the outside of their home or work place and seemingly the opposite rule is applied to the "minorities".

Another big point for concern is that there is a ban on people wearing "hooded tops" in shops and other public places, while Muslim women are allowed to wear full body burkas and some male members of the religion are allowed to wear their full religious clothing, which includes a sword, YES, A SWORD! I'm not allowed in a shop with a hoody on and pocket knife, but my Muslims neighbours can go anywhere they want in full head to toe covering clothes with bastard swords!!! wtf is this injustice!?

The whole thing is based on not wanting to offend "minorities", because they're far more important than the majority. It is essentially racism, but because it's the majority that are being ostracized, it must be fine. Just because it's their religion doesn't mean they should be allowed to practise it if it is dangerous! Otherwise I'm just going to start a religion where one of the main rules is that I have to kill a Muslim everyday, or I go to hell. And stopping me from doing so would be against my minority religion and therefore the people stopping me would be racist and would be locked away, while I continued to murder random Muslims. Sounds fair, doesn't it?

Sorry if this whole post sounds a little harsh and outlandish, but there is only so much that people can take lol.

In order to start a religion you need an ancient book with conflicting evidence and events which are so stupid they must be true. Good luck.

They got it from Obama. At least they know what they are supporting, unlike those dimwits who are probably going to vote for a fascist half-term governor from Alaska in 2012.

From the United Farm Workers (the mexicans) in 1972 which the original term is in Spanish, Si Se Puede, which has been adapted to English and is now assumed by many misinformed individuals that the idea was started by the Obama administration.

Don't let "United" fool you....this country is extremely divided in ideology, especially right now.

I'm not entirely sure where I stand on immigration - it is a problem and no one really wants to deal with it, and those who do (Arizona) are going about it completely wrong in my opinion. But I think there is more to this story than Fox News articles are leading people to believe.

Glad to here it. And yes I know my American history before you quiz me on it.

To be honest I dislike the treatment people get for doing just about anything with a flag. It represents a country. WOW. The Union Jack represents 3. Sure, they're a hell of a lot smaller than the US or even Texas, but that doesn't stop the it from being thrown around or worn. The fact is the US hardly treat say, the Middle East kindly enough and do and have done defacement of flags themselves. If they're going to alienate people who happen to be wearing the flag then they're some seriously screwed up issues with American law.

Next onto people bashing Obama. After having several years of the most incompetent President I can think of off the top of my head you then get Obama, who has character, sense, and competence. Face it, the only reason people bash him is because his ideas are more to the favor of the less rich (hence reformed medical care) or those who suffer under racism. If he did not have these ideas people would most likely consider him boring. But because of American past YOU HAVE to bash him because your used to it and because he's a first of something you do not trust to do well despite no evidence to support the general early beliefs.

And lastly you lot need to take an example from say the UK or Germany. These days antisemitism is not tolerated and public demonstration is in some countries illegal; for a good reason. After our little Holocaust we have learned from it. We started the slave trade, we stopped it. The Americans were sold the slaves but yet even today some abolish those of different races because they are different to you. But value it, don't hate on it.

Roughly that is what describes some Americans

Epic Brit Post FTW

I knew Oscar would get it right. I remember first hearing that chant in the last elections and thinking, "wait a second, I've read that before ..." (as in, I read it in my history book which was actually filled with correct information -- not politically correct propaganda). Nice job, bro.

Oh good grief Slo ... nobody really wants Sarah. She's just tossed out there to make Obama nervous. Seriously, she has about as much chance of winning the Presidency as I do of becoming Chancellor of La La Land. [lol]
