Either make it out of catwalks or make a 3ds file and import it into the editor.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

To make it out of catwalks select custom wooden supports, than delete everything but the catwalks and drag them over to where you want them.

You've got to go to the "edit" (?) menu, then at the bottom of that will be something about wood-magic-v.1 or something of that sort. Double click that and it will open the wooden support generator, where you should deselect everything but catwalks (this will just make it easier to delete evything). Then, delete everything but the catwalks and move them into position where you want them. Sorry if the menu name is wrong; I don't have NL in front of me at the moment.
The preferred method, however, is by using 3ds. For a free program to create these, I recommend the pro demo of sketch up, especially for a beginner such as yourself. Sketchup is incredibly easy to use and can make decent-looking objects in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, the pro demo only lasts for 8 hours, so you may end up having to reinstall it a few times before you get fed up and move on to something else. As I've found, the best way to deal with this unfortunate circumstance is to use the regular free version until your object is finished, then get hue demo and export it with that. Unfortunately, you will also need Anim8or, which is another free program that will fix the lighting problem that sketch up creates when it's 3ds are imported into nolimits.

I really should get to changing my title... I only changed it to that in an on-the-spot decision from the title "little bitch ass boy."

Thank you, gazag!
