I'm suprised Gouldy and other soccer fans aren't posting about this. The fun starts in 15 minutes. I'll be watching Mexico vs. South Africa. [:D]

Who do you think will take it this year? A month long of nothing but soccer on TV!

I'm not a Soccer fan, it's a stupid American sport. I am a Football fan though.

Having said that, neither am I particularly a fan of International Football, it is by very definition pretty dull. Club Football is where my enthusiasm lies. But, having said that, when England are involved it is still very easy to get passionately invovled and behind the team, hence Wayne Rooney's NikeFootball advert below this post [:)]

Football implies that the ball is a foot long, thus saying that what you are talking about is American football. Soccer implies that the team is wearing really big socks, whick is not always true of Football but seen on every soccer player. I rest my case.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Football implies that you kick the ball with your foot.

Not to mention that Football has been around a thousand years longer than american football.

I love those horns. I just came back from rioting around and sounding them at our Plaza Mexico. Tons of people there, 30 foot tall screens, free food! Yay!!!

pffft, all other meetings of the two nations in history are unimportant.

On an unrelated note: It would amuse me to genuinely see Rooney holding the lifeless head of Cristiano Ronaldo in his hands.

I would love it if we could line up against Portugal at some point this world cup, so that this could occur, but the structure of the tournament suggests this is not probable [V].

England will get to the Quarter finals as a minimum I would say, we may get to the semis, I'm not sure, but we certainly won't go any further than that.

ITS COMING HOME
ITS COMING HOME
ITS COMING
FOOTBALLS COMING HOME

england will win the world cup this year, i got ?????????250 bet on it already and it will happen, we are the dream team and we are the one and only true nation of football fans.

God Save the Queen
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen!
O lord God arise,
Scatter our enemies,
And make them fall!
Confound their knavish tricks,
Confuse their politics,
On you our hopes we fix,
God save the Queen!
Not in this land alone,
But be God's mercies known,
From shore to shore!
Lord make the nations see,
That men should brothers be,
And form one family,
The wide world ov'er
From every latent foe,
From the assasins blow,
God save the Queen!
O'er her thine arm extend,
For Britain's sake defend,
Our mother, prince, and friend,
God save the Queen!
Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour,
Long may she reign!
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen

Making screams come true

Also, you only need this bit :

"God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen!"

no one ever sings the rest of it [:P]
