I plan on coming out of the gates swinging here. I've got a new B&M floorless started and it's blazing. I've got an idea of what the basic layout will be and have it completed from the ending brakes up to the first element off the drop.

The initial inspiration was Daemonen at Tivoli Gardens. However, I plan on making each and every element as original as possible, veering away from the traditional B&M. A coaster design as if I were in charge of B&M. hah

I'll have more soon and may, MAY, ask for testers when the ride is further along. Meanwhile, here is the song that inspired the name.

Obfuscation means to make something unnecesarrily complicated, which is what I plan on doing with this little coaster. :D

Oh, and the lyrics for the song are always wrong, no matter where you look to find them. Here are mine. If you understand what they were going for the video does a great job of depicting the meaning behind the song. Epic of epics. :D

From the simple idea of change blindness, our minds are not as they seem.
An entire existence, revolving, around what we can't acknowledge.
From the simple idea of change blindness, our minds are not as they seem.
A brain malfunction, we'll never admit as defeat. Defeat!
A constant determination to find truth.
To find truth.
To find reason.
To find truth(to find reason.)
To find reason(to find truth.)
To find comfort.
An unspoken religion in being the all(All dominant!)
All dominant.
All dominant.
This is what we call a brain.
This is what we call a brain.
This is what we call a brain.
This is what we call a brain.
A brain.

This step will allow, allow the, universe to run it's course.
We have a short ticket, and a lot is in hiding, so lets take in what we can for now.
Just like here on Earth, a notion we do comprehend.
Hide what others can't understand.
The universe is the biggest, biggest threat.
Overachiever that commands attention.
Brute force of hysterical, hysterical, reasonings.
There will always be a Marfa.
Close one eye. Step to the side.
Close one eye. Step to the side.

As humans, we could never be, content with knowing all.
Yet we can't be, content with the fact, that our brains will, never know.
A mental surgery.
A never ending journey.
A technological drawback.
Pushing us further from our natural minds.
(I honestly wish I could decipher this part. Lol. It's just too muffled into the ambient sound.)

A magicians pure joy.
A mind bend for the common folk.
Follow the straight line.

The ultimate deceiver.

Close one eye. Step to the side.
Step to the, side.

We will always be part of the great misdirect
Stepping in, stepping out.
We will always be part of the great misdirect.
Mirrors and, Obfuscation.

Triple post FTW!

Here's a little update showing what I've been up to. My graphics card won't quit shitting out on me, so I gave up and just uploaded a pic from the editor. Leave your regards.

Lol, I missed you Iron Man

Looking forward to this. Daemonen is one sketchy B&M.. I'm excited to see where this will go.

That element looks pretty sexy, that's for sure.

One question: how close to the style of Daemonen are you sticking? Only, I tried to recreate daemonen a year or so back, and I'm a handbuilder and it blatantly wasn't happening, that thing is just too tight. So, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do!

Looks awesome. I always appreciate a ride that DOES NOT have a vertical loop as it's first inversion LOL. Wildfire at SDC I always though was neat cuz it started with an Immelman...Alpengeist too. Keep up the good work!

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

The element in the picture isn't the first. ;-)

And I'm not really sticking the style of Daemonen that much, just the size. I'm going to try and keep everything relatively close to the lift hill and stretch it back to the station to keep that overly compact feel, keeping to the theme of the ride, Obfuscation. So far the complexity isn't bad, but I can see it going in some funky and challenging places. Whenever I finish the layout I'll throw it out to a few testers.

No offense, but I'll be limiting my testers to a select few that I know and trust. I really don't like too many people seeing my work before its finished.

Alright. Layout is complete. I'm trying to get a picture of the crossover section, but there are so many that I can't find a good angle that shows them all without another piece of track in the way. :D
Testers would be nice at this stage. The track needs to be smoothed, but I'd like to get some opinions on the layout and the forces exerted.

Edit: Found a good angle, even though it shows more of the ride than I'd like, I wanted to give you guys something.

Very nice! I was a little shaky from the whole "However, I plan on making each and every element as original as possible, veering away from the traditional B&M. A coaster design as if I were in charge of B&M" - But it looks great dude.

B&M rides get so boring so fast. They're all cookie cutter rides. Don't get me wrong, some of them are hella fun, but half of them are the exact same ride. I love it when rides like Wildfire, Alpengeist, or Hydra come out and are just completely new layouts. Not a mirror (B:TR@St. Louis vs. all others), not a slight modification (Paethon, a MCBR'less Raptor with a cool helix), or just a flat out replica with a different name. B&M is my favorite coaster company because there rides are great, yet they're my least favorite because of the repetitive bullshit.
/end rant

Anywho, any testers?

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

It is realistic if you compare it to say... Nemesis Inferno @ Thorpe Park.

Well Matt, you're just a realism whore. I did make this ride to be realistic, just not with B&M elements. If I could design my own track and train style, I'd probably do that. The ride isn't made to resemble B&M, it's made to be unique. And I'm not making it that way because I can't design B&M, I've done it before, I just don't like to.
