Boulder Dash.

Edit: nice double account you've got there.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

What makes TTD better than KK? I've been on top thrill, but not KK. I know KK is faster, taller, and has the camel hump.

It also jerks you around less. BDash is still better though.

A small list:
- T-bar Restraints vs OTSR's.
- Smoother ride in every seat vs headache track towards the back of the train.
- Straight piece of track vs hill with no noticeable g's.
- Ride in the center of the park vs ride on the edge of the park.
- View over half of the park vs view over the parking lot.
- Chance of stall and rollbacks vs very tiny chance on rollback because of magnetic trim on the top.
- Racing theme vs Jungle theme.

I guess that's a pretty nice list of comparison... Right?

The only positive sides would be the stats of KK. Taller and faster... Speed difference made my face wrinkle and height difference is actually unnoticeable...

Obviously any coaster enthusiast would prefer TTD over KK any day.

I like KK's theme better, rather than the concrete slab theme of TTD

-I like what seems to me like extra time at top speed (that 1.5 seconds at the end of the launch)
-Until recently, KK didn't seem to have as noticeable of deceleration at the end of the launch. Now KK's launch is better than it was, but the decel is more noticeable...still not a big deal.
-Train travels consistently faster over the tophat on KK than when I was at CP in 2003, resulting in stronger airtime in the front (where I always ride)
-I prefer the lil bit of airtime while at high speeds, and additional feature of the camelback
-Lapbars are better, but the OTSRs don't bother me too much, even though I'm tall.
-I call themes about even...TTD makes more sense, but KK's is still very well done.

All those are pretty close, but I like the additional speed, as that's my favorite aspect of the ride. I ride toward the front 95% of the time, so any roughness in the back isn't all that relevant to me...with the brakes, the back isn't all that great anyways. I'm ok with that though, since it's so good in front.

I have waited longer for KK with a flash pass than TTD without them...

I like KK more than TTD.

-I felt like KK was a bit more intense than TTD. It felt like I was pulling more G's on KK when the train was going up the Top Hat, and it sustains more G's as it' coming down and going into the camel back.
-The extra height was noticeable on KK. I thought the views were pretty good, but you're not up there long enough on either to really take it all it all in, but being that extra few feet higher up added to the thrill.
-The OTSRs on KK did not detract from my ride experience at all. Those restraints are only a problem if you're constantly being pushed from side to side, which happens on Maverick . . . but not KK.
-You crest the top hat with more speed on KK, resulting in more forceful airtime. TTD seems to just roll over the top, while that's exciting if you're hoping for a roll back, it's not if you're hoping to experience a change in G forces.
-TTD is a one trick pony, it's over after the Top Hat. KK at least has that camel back after the Top Hat as it goes into the brakes . . . so it's like a one and a half trick pony.

Also, KK doesn't have a trim brake on the top, it's got a tire to prevent a stall.

Neither of them are really the best coasters in the world, I prefer a slower coaster with a full layout over Launch-Hill-Brakes any day. That being said, they are both still a lot of fun and very thrilling. Overall I enjoyed my KK experiences more than my TTD experiences. It's hard to quantify why though, it's really more of a gut reaction to be completely honest.

KK was likely one of the most un-original ideas in theme park history...
Uh oh Cedar Point has out-done us again... Lets use the same design but tack 30 feet on it and make it go a little faster! Oh and we need to add an element. Lets see... a hill!

I rode them both and say they are pretty much the same damn ride. They will be paired together in my rankings.

@disaster249, I have to say both of them have un-original idea its not hard for anyone to think of a ride going straight up and over a top hat but i think TTD is still more original vs KK.

I've rode them both and i have to agree there just basically the same...

KK does have a trim brake at the top of the tower. It's not a tire.

How is that unoriginal? Nothing like TTD had ever been done before...not even close. The scale, launch speed, brake length, and 270* vertical twist among other features are very unique if you ask me.

The first time on Top Thrill Dragster, I thought I was actually going to fall into the Great Lake. Especially after hearing about the tail going over.

How can it be unoriginal if it hasn't been done before? You could say the same thing about say, a loop. Very generic, very simple. But when the first one was made, do you think that it was unoriginal at the time?

If I was Cedar Point after SFGA built Kingda Ka, I would be like, "WTF!!!"

After reviewing some picture I can see the trims now . . . however, I swear that I saw a picture a couple years ago of a tire up there, but I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore . . . maybe it's not the case, I'm not sure. My bad.
