I sometimes use thick spines like that when I am going large gaps without supports, but on a normal coaster like that I don't really see what the benefit would be. It seems like it would just be a waste of money for the park where they might as well just have a normal spine.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I think the idea of a coaster like that is pretty cool. Like a face-Off out and back. I would use a box spine instead of I305's design, it fits the style of track better imo
