Ok, really simple here. This should been done long ago. We take a nuclear warhead, sink to the bottom of the ocean, right over the spill, and set it off. The heat from the explosion will seal most of, or probably all points that are leaking oil. A little bit of research will lead you to see that Russia has done this before. And before you PETA faggots freak out on me, the explosion will do less damage to wildlife under the sea and on the coast than what the oil has already caused, even if it were done the moment we knew there was a spill. The mass amount of water contains the explosion and forces the radiation down. It immediately sinks to the lowest part of the ocean.

And as an added bonus, you'll get free broiled fish floating to the surface upon which you can dine.

It won't seal the well. Its under so much pressure your nuke would just make it gush even more.

We could simply drop a truckload of tampons. I hear those things suck up a lot of stuff quickly. No jokes here, I'm being serious.

You're wrong. I don't know if you realize the heat that a nuclear explosion creates. The only way that it wouldn't be enough to melt the crust so that it would cool back to a normal 'sealed' state is if it was split for hundreds of miles. Then, our issue would be more than just the damn oil. Would be looking for a way off the damn planet then. But as stated before, Russia has had the same problem, not a similar one, the SAME one, and there solution obviously worked. They don't have an oil crisis, never have, and probably never will.

And it is a hell of a lot more reasonable than what these idiots have already tried. And this one has a much greater chance of actually working.

Nuke is the last option in all cases. I don't see ourselves nuking the thing for another year from now. But it has been done before with success.

The usage of a nuke has been discussed before because of Russia's successful containment of multiple spills. It is the most viable option if it is found that BP has cracked the actual seafloor.

Problem with the nuke is that it's an international relations nightmare because of the various nuclear peace treaties. not like that has stopped from doing something in the recent past anyways but still.

Is there supposed to be an image there or did you press "enter" a bunch of times so everything else seems to be as "husky" as you?

I know because Obama is intimately tied in with Halliburton, that Swiss Company, and BRITISH petroleum all at once! Thank god the last vice president wasn't associated with any of those companies and thank god Cheney didn't do anything like make Bush BAN NEWER UNDERWATER MODELING OF SPILLS BY WHILE BUSH WAS IN OFFICE SO NOW EVERYTHING IS MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT NEEDS TO BE.

Source: http://professional.wsj.com/article/SB1 ... g=reno-wsj

Please elaborate on what exactly Obama is supposed to do, and don't be a hypocrite. Feel free to criticize him as you please, but at least criticize him for something that he has maybe 5% control over as opposed to something he has absolutely no control over whatsoever. You're criticizing something you obviously have no understanding about at all, so get your head out of your ass.

And the idea with the nuking is that is recrystallizes everything into something like clinker from the brief intense heat which them seals it up. Nuking the Gulf would cause less ecological problems than what has already occurred as of now.

Why is everybody pointing their fingers at our president? Honestly, what the hell can he do? Yes, he has a lot of power and can do just about anything he wants, but this is not his responsibility. It's not like he's an expert on the oil industry. About all the man can really do is make phone calls and find out if anybody has made any progress on a solution. He's not going to be able to come up with one on his own, because he doesn't have the propper knowledge in this field. That would be like asking one of you guys to build a nuclear warhead. You build roller coasters, so naturally you know nothing of nuclear weapons.

See you have to refer to him as "The Obama" or "That Obama" so it's easier to dehumanize him. Duh.

If Sarah Palin becomes president you must fake insanity to get out of the army.

Obama pretty much just fined BP instead of taking a more direct approach, such as government/army intervention?
Oh, were you expecting something here?

We just need a gigantic bottle of Dawn dish washing liquid to cut through the grease and a s**t ton of lemon scented moist towelettes from BP.
