So my family is driving up to Ithaca, NY to see family. The route takes us directly past Sandusky, and Ithaca is only 3 hours from NYC. I either get to go to NYC or CP but not both. Any suggestions as to which one would be a better experience seeing as how I can't decide.

Please & Thanks,

Mitch

After being to both Cedar Point and NYC, NYC is basically just sights. CP is sights and rides. Which would you prefer, seeing really tall things, or getting to see AND ride really tall things? [:p]

NYC has a coaster that's better than most of what is at CP.

CP is a great park but there's a ton to do in New York, don't let anyone on here change your mind if you're already set on one or the other though.

He said NYC < CP, and then told me to go to NYC. But anyways, what are some things to do in NYC besides Coney island, Times Square, & Central Park?

NYC is eating CP. IE: NYC is the better choice.

Coney isn't closed....Astroland is gone but Luna just opened in place of it and looks like it has way better rides...and Denos is still there anyway. Plus Cyclone.

Times square isn't all that great if you ask me. It's way to crowded and you can barely walk through the shops there. Central park is pretty cool. Museum of sex if your interested.

When I went my band got to play at the statue of liberty. It's very different up close. You don't realize how huge it is until your on that island. Tickets to go there are around 40 dollars if I remember. They take you Ellis island and you get to look around there(which was cool) then they take you to Liberty island.

Some other cool things to look at is St. Patricks Cathedral (definitely if your into architecture), Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller plaza, some of those pier's are cool too. I'll think up some other cool places too.
