Matt, international incident that has AFFECTED THE GULF COAST. And now, with our law enforcers suspending the 1st amendment for BP's sake?

Yeah, reporters and anybody else are stopped by police when trying to take pictures of the environment ruined by the oil.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Dude... seriously... I can understand you having a different point of view than me but Glenn Beck is by no means a reliable resource.

Edit: Wait a sec, How has the 1st amendment been suspended?

It seems like the cause of that rule is uncertain at this time and until it is clarified it is unjust to jump to "Obama wants to kill the first amendment"

**sigh**

If someone owns that land and doesn't like reporters, then reporters cannot be on said land. It's not suspending the first amendment, it's keeping people you don't like off of your property. If it's a national park/restricted wetland/whatever, then the USA owns it.

Wow... you just let out a good ammount of hot air... It's not owners telling reporters to not enter "said" land, it's BP officials backed by law enforcement. It's not allowing reporters to truly show what BP is doing to clean up, or in some cases just covering up, their mess that has catastrophically damaged the Gulf Coast, environmentally and economically.

And BP is on land/reserves/whatever owned by the government. It's not suspending the first amendment, it's telling people to get off their property. Reporters are stupid. I would try to keep them off of my property too. You ever talk to a journalism or communications major? Holy christ.

If it's a house or whatever the USA is "suddenly" controlling, it's eminent domain being put to use.

Same applies to Area 51 and you weren't making a big deal about that.

And I paid you to help keep the site up and running. By your logic I now own the site.
