Intimidator vs. Intimidator 305

I figured only a handful of people on the site have been on both, but mow that Ive ridden both in the past week I figure it makes for a good debate. What are the pros and cons of each?

I305:
+
great speed
good airtime
insane transitions
height and drop steepness

-
shoulder straps still restrict freedom
awful trim on drop
personally I think they should have a few more hills for more air

Intimidator:
+
lap bar only!
New b&m trains
more airtime hills
fun drop (I like 305s better minus the trims)
sick turnaround

-
not as sharp air as 305...more floater
trims on 2 hills drag it down a little too much


Overall 2 great rides that I think are both great for different reasons.
What do you guys think?

I like the trims on I305. Only when you sit in the back though. I rode in front before the trims were added. i say it's better than Intimidator hands down.

How can you like the trims? It is more tolerable, but not better. The new straps are at least better than the old ones, they are completely pain free, but are restrictive.

I agree with the strap comment...still restricting...but better than before.

I think the trims on 305 just KILL the drop...could you imagine Millennium Force having trims?

If millenium had trims on the drop it wouldnt make it through the course. Have you ever seen it go slow on the second hill. The trims would easily make the train valley.

We should make Intimidator vs. Diamondback
and Inti305 vs. MF~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~


Because: Intimidator is a MEGA,and Intimidator 305 is a GIGA,They are not on a same level~

Is whether the train would make it through the point of his statement?
It seems more like he was discussing whether the trims made the drop less fun.

The height doesn't matter; if B&M made a 305-foot-tall coaster, it'd still be incomparable to I305. It's the style that makes all the difference. The same can also be said about I305/MF. They are two completely contrasting styles, and thus incomparable head-to-head. With that said, using Diamonback and Behemoth as a benchmark, I pick I305 over Intimidator@Carowinds ANY DAY.

omnigeek is correct in saying I mean would it kinda take the fun out of the drop? To feel this big speed coming and all of a sudden be thrown forward and just hang there? The ride itself of I305 is better the the Carowinds one, but the Carowinds drop was way more fun cuz you didn't get trimmed. And I think the DB vs. Int. and MF vs. I305 toopic would be good too.

(And yea I know MF wouldn't make it thru the course if trimmed lol)
