I have officially started a Youtube channel that highlights all the famous Nolimits coasters.

http://www.youtube.com/user/nolimitscoastervideo

All credits go to creators of respective coasters.

I have ideas floating around: like Breaking Point, Thalys (for sure)

1: Thunderhead Falls (Phyter) Video
2. Thalys (Hansixx)
3. Breaking Point (dcs211)
4. Colder Fusion (unknown)
5. Ganja (Hansixx)
6. Genesis (nightride)
7. Mine Shaft (jackfrahn)
8. Meteora (cjd) Video
9. K?????????ttbullar (Buster)
10. Expedition Weeforce (redunzelizer)
11. The Flying Burrito (Canadmos)
12. Kilo (Myriad)
13. Gaia (Extremerider)
14. Cypher III (dcs221)
.
.

green = done, uploaded
yellow = filming / editing in progress
red = have not started filming yet

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Edit: If anyone wants to do a video, they can send the YT link (or other way to get the video file) to me at nolimitsplayer [at] gmail.com

I thought it was always something

Edit - I added colder fusion, but never heard of that other one.

Edit 2 - Fixed.

I have limited access ATM to a Windows computer, since I am on a Mac, and do not own the Mac version of NL.

To embed a youtube video, it's [ youtube ]link[ /youtube ] without the spaces. Also, why don't you use the AVI export option that comes with NL? After recording the files are huge, but you can compress it with even movie maker.

I wanted the "Link" tab to the Youtube page instead, and I figured that out. Thanks though!

Meteora is finished recording - just need to edit it.

Edit: If I use the AVI export option, my graphics card goes to the toilet. And besides, I edit on a mac, so I have to encode the video, which takes some of the quality away.

Plus, that screen is 1366x768 or something, which is the resolution of the camera (can go up to 1080p, but I just need 720p).

Do you have a reason for not using a video capture program like fraps or default NL capture thing.

Ah, I thought you wanted to embed them directly to the site.

Ugh...

Maybe I could use CloudApp - probably, I'm not sure.

There will not be much space with Dropbox or anything.

Recording a screen with a camera is a joke. Use Fraps or if your video card is too slow, just use the AVI recorder (be patient and let it record; it has to ensure that every frame is captured so it'll be a little slow, but the end result will be good; you do need to set the framerate on the simulator settings to 30fps though) and encode it to whatever you need to in order to edit on the Mac. You may lose a little quality on conversions, but it's nothing compared to the quality lost from recording from a camera.

Are you getting direct permission from people to upload videos of their rides?

And cam to screen isn't that bad if you use a tripod and focus properly. But hand-holding the camera doesn't work at all.

Yeah - but how would I be able to contact people from a while ago, such as jackfrahn, etc.?

You could try tracking them down....but if you don't get permission then just don't upload the ride. Kinda dickish to take videos of people's stuff and upload them to your thing without them knowing about it.

Windigo and Tartarus by XtraxYZ.

Also, Cypher III by dcs221. The list needs an invert, and that is by far the best I've seen.

You should be asking permission.

Just for the record;

1. Didn't we ban you?
2. Why do you have a video recorder in front of the screen?
3. You should get permission from the owners of these tracks before posting them to youtube.

Don't worry about it, I am.

To everyone else as well: I am asking permission. There. No need to talk about it anymore.

I tried out the AVI export, and it somewhat works, but the file (2 minutes) is over 6 GB. Okay...

Does fraps produce a smaller file, or what?

Edit: I probably will not do Space Mountain because it is too dark IMO for a good video.

Get Fraps. Don't use an actual video camera and tripod.

Just compress it with Movie Maker after you record it, then delete the original. Make sure you convert it to .wmv too, because I don't think Youtube takes .avi.
