thanks to popcorn, dcs and newton i'm back in the game after 2~ year break of actually making anything.

my biggest problem of never finishing a ride was due to the fact that I could never finish the track. I'd get to a point and just say F it and quit and start on another track I wouldn't finish.

But due to an extremely late night and every minute since I've woke up, I've actually finished a track!

Now if I can remember how to make 3ds and support, expect release fairly soon. Hopefully a week max.

Nice. Good to see you again. I haven't seen your name since CoasterSims.com. Looking forward to your new "complete" ride. Welcome back.

Hold on, ragan... If this is your first track made with Newton, maybe you should work on a few more rides before uploading anything. I tried making a Newtoned X-Car for my first ride that didn't turn out so well in the end...
Oh, were you expecting something here?

thanks guys. rc... my problem was always getting a complete circuit. i'm fine. definitely got a lot of work to do in newton before anything is god-tier, but a simple non-inverting ride is fine for me right now.

I can't wait. Take it slow at first. It's really easy to go through too much.

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

pretty much god-tier at MF supports.

If anyone has questions on how to make em just ask haha

supports should be done in a week + theming so probably two weeks-three weeks. forgot i got a wedding coming up to go to.

The supports look a bit cluttered.

they are at the drop, only way I could make it look realistically supported. if i drop one of those towers than it just looks silly and too spread out.

OK, I am sorry to say this, but the drop looks really bad.

^This looks good... The shaping of it looks very fluid

I really think you should redo the drop... Also, it may allow for the cluttered supports in that spot to spread apart more.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I agree; that drop looks like something Arrow would build. (If they did drops as steep as that for non-looping rides.) I've never seen any Intamin drops remotely shaped like that either.

redone drop.

http://i26.tinypic.com/av20cw.jpg

this is a complete bitch to do. not changing it again. ha. changed angle (that was the biggest problem I had, as there wasn't much room at all available). More realistic and more exciting first drop with more realistic Gs (went from 3.8 on first drop to 4.4)

lol in my first post I said a week. That ain't happening. Looks like I forgot how long it takes.

Lift hill completely done. Should knock out everything up to the first hill sometime tonight. Should be done with the second overbank by thursday night. Hopefully done with all supporting by this time next week. Than .3ds....Gonna go simple with simple station, small queue, basic tunnels etc. Trying it with 3dsmax and i forgot how love hard that thing is. Might bite the bullet and go with trusty (albeit outdated, esp. compared to 3dsmax or sketchup) OC.

Hurray screw you gravity!

Been working on cleaning up supports & adding tunnels. 2/3rds done with tunnels. Last tunnel is coolest... has very vertical exit and entrance, and has a trench on top of it for another hill.

After that, add station, catwalks, etc. Praying to be done with 3ds soon. Haven't been working on it much though.. If I really crack down on it, probably has another full day worth of work if I don't screw around. So that means it'll be ready in a couple weeks :P

here some pics of tunnels (everything is untextured).

Looking good. However, it does look over supported.
