Well i dont have pictures as my camera had issues. Anyways...
My trip-
I arrived in hershey PA on monday after a 5 hr drive from CT. The first thing i noticed was that it was really hot. Well we checked into the hotel and headed out for the preview. Which started at 7:30, and it is exactly what says. It gave us a chance to preview the park by going into the park the previous night. I had a lot of fun, first going to storm runner then lightning racer, then superdooperlooper. But my brother and dad were tired so we went to the hershey chocolate tour thing. That was very well done. The next day we got there 15min before it opened. We ran straight to Fahrenheit to miss any line. And got there first and rode back row. Then i went to lightning racer and there was no line. At all. So i rode five times on lightning and one time on thunder. I dont remember exactly what the order was after that. But we went on i think storm runner next and the rest of the coasters throughout the day except the wild mouse, wildcat, and comet.
Anyways to the ride reviews... in favorite to least favorite order.
1. Storm runner- 4x This ride i had very low expectations for, because many claimed it was rough and boring and such. Well i must say this ride BLEW me away. (literally and figuratively) They must have changed the wheels or something because i found this to be much smoother than Fahrenheit. Each element had its own character that gave it everything a good ride needs. The launch was VERY intense in my opinion. I think i like it better than any other launch ever. Including dragster. I rode in front and back, and this tophat had crazy ejector airtime all the way over. And the dive down made a nice big drop on the ride adding the adrenaline. Then the immelman thing was the extreme gforce on the ride. I greyed out in the front a couple times. Then there was the hill/barrel roll/flying snake dive element. Well this element feels very different in front compared to the back. But with both i realized. That from the time you go into the hill and into the barrel roll and into the dive, the entire element is sustained EJECTOR. Atleast 5 seconds of it. I sometimes felt the blood rush to my head a bit. The front crazy airtime on the way into the element, and then kinda hung a bit going down with a bit of hangtime. But the back i expected not to have air on the hill going into it, but there still is ejector on it, and then continuing ejector into the barrel roll, then suddenly you accelerate out of the barrel roll and into the dive, and you get crazy lateral gs and ejector, then transition into crazy gforce going out of the dive. This i think is my favorite element ever made. EVER. It was amazing in every seat. And the first time it was very confusing feeling. Giving a bit of out of control feeling to the end of the ride. And although the turny thing into the brakes wasnt much, but it added a nice curvy sensation, and some nice lats. I have to say that i like the mid front the best, and im a huge back seat person, but it was a little bit rougher in the back because of the whippiness. I think that overall this ride it one of my favorite coasters ever. And it never had any line. Everyone was distracted by fahrenheit. Which i will get to later.
2+3. Lightning racers- 6/7x Not as much to say here. But my first impression wasnt that good because it was mid train and nightime with nobody on train. But i must say, after riding it many times, i put it second and third. During the day when it had full trains, i found it to be very fun riding in the back, i found it to have great airime and great lats. But i especially love the dive into tunnel, hill+flash, turn, hill, turn part. I dont know exactly what it is, but the motions of the ride just have something very.. catchy about it... And the first drop, hilly curvy thing, and high turn were great in the back. I like lightning a bit better though because of the extra lats in the sequence before the second turnaround out of the 3, the extra high banked turn, and the tighter turn+ outer banked hill at the very end. Oh and both of them were extremely smooth.
4.Great bear- 2x Very unique for an invert, and i looovee the turn before the drop, in that it has great forces. I loved the 0g roll then hill into turn thing. It had lots of airtime in it, then the riverside part was cool because of the way it turned one way, then instanly sort of switched the otherway and banked over through a corkscrew so gracefully. But the long stretch into the brakes was a waist. But the rest of it made up for it.
5.Fahrenheit- 1x I thought this ride was waay overated. I liked the drop and end sequence with the corks then turn hill turn. But the Norwegian
loop was only fun because of the airtime coming out of it. The cobra roll was boring. And it was VERY shaky and vibraty. It was fun but it did not blow me away.
6.Superdooperlooper- 2x I liked this ride. The drop was good in the back, the loop was forcefull, the ride was smooth and i loved the tunnel and final helix. I thought it was fun.
7. Trailblazer- 1x I liked the final helix. But the ride was overall boring. And the wheels ride so incredibly smoothly on the track, but the track is not so smooth for the wheels, as it was very jerky in some spots.
Overall i loved the park and it is one of my favorites. I hope to go back sometime. I must say that the definite highlight of my trip was stormrunner.
