Can I change the positition of the station? (This doesn't mean moving the first vertex, I thought about transforming the existing station segment into something else)

yeah, alot of good designers got paired up in the first round... oh, well... that's what makes this contest interesting. May the best designer win. Oh, and the name of my track is "The Helix". It took me all night to think it up...

Presumably some short track segments in the inner area to allow the lift and brake to be positioned at a different angle to the station are okay? Otherwise the end brake will have to either be curved or go through the trees :-P

I do think you can use short track segments to angle the brakes and lift.

no, station has been lifted off the gruond to accomodate anyone who wants to edit the terrain but can't change the height of it.

if we have a drop out of the station can there be some track before the lift if its inside the first ring? or do we have to just start off with a lift

some track, but not much ok, don't get wild and do a helix or something.

thanks, but here is another question. i was designing a double loop similar to one on a vekoma i know and it came to my attention that tunnel testing does not apply to vekomas; due to the fact that the restraints cars and restraints only allow a persons arm on the inside of the car to move above the car and even then its not very high above the car. will will loose points for tunnel testin or not?

Tunnel testing is inaccurate. I dislike tunnel testing, does not show real life stuff, so scrap tunnel testng. use your own eye. If you think the person will lose an arm or face, then move the track, if not, fine. Tunnel testing is just too picky, considering the restraints already imposed here, but also ya know, just make it visually capeable of passing safety.

Tunnel testing is ok to use, it dose give you alot of breathing room, but it's pretty useless when it comes to building tight loops and elements. I tend to use that method alot on some track sections, but I don't panic is something it slightly sticking thru the tunnel. When I rate a coaster, I don't use the tunnel test at all, I use my best judgment/

I can almost bet you that more then half of the real coasters built will 'fail' this so called tunnel test. lol

Yeh tunnel testing is useful as a general guide but it is pretty inaccurate, especialy in the vertical direction.
