What resolution are you using in the NL simulator? I'm at 1280x1024, but am looking for a way to boost that higher.

Generally you need to be running at whatever your monitor's resolution is. If your graphics card is too weak though, then you'll have to run it at a lower resolution which will result in sharpness loss (due to the LCD scaling) and possibly distortion if the resolution is set to the wrong aspect ratio.

Resolution doesn't matter much for NL though; it doesn't make a huge difference on framerates unless you're using the complex water with an older video card.

My laptop is 1366x768 and my desktop's monitor is 1680x1050. Thus those are the resolutions that I run NL at.

Geforce 6100 is integrated if I remember correctly which means no SLI. If you have an actual card then it may be the 6200. (Which is as obselete as the 6100.)

It would matter for video/photographs.

Looks like it's time to upgrade my monitors.

Well you don't really need to upload huge resolution screenshots to websites and most monitors will let you set to 1280x720 to record 720p video. You do need a 1920x1080 monitor or higher to record 1080p video though. It's nice to have but not necessary and numerous users can't watch 1080p video because of their internet connection and/or monitor size. (Though 1080p perhaps could be used as a way to get around Youtube's awful compression artifacts that happen even at 720p.)

1024x768...only have a 17" monitor so any higher hurts my eyes as everything is too small.
