Because mathematics uses a different starting angle.

If that's the way it works, then the pretzel loops could be considered having the steepest drops, which is just silly lol. I say everything 90+ degrees is tied for steepest.

Where does it say when a drop stops being a drop and starts being a loop? Why are El Loco rides described as having the steepest drops when there's a Screamin' Squirrel? My point is parks just want to be able to say some feature is the "best," even if it's partially or completely untrue.

Which is surely sometimes wrong, and other times not all encompassing. Just because it says something doesn't mean it's true...

What if, say, the tallest ride in the world changes and the book doesn't update it for a couple years. Does that mean it's not the tallest ride in the world?

I know a case of that, well its similar:When Colossos was built it was the highest woodie worldwide, and had the Guiness Record,BUT after higher rides were built,it lost its Record, but the park still says its the highest woodie(thats true again since SOB is SBNO now)...Its all about the marketing, candy for GP,no need to bitchin, the thing that is important is the fun,and since most of us know a lot about coasters,we often can even more enjoy the ride than GP.

According to a post on Facebook by Ride Entertainment Group, Dare Devil Dive will not have OTSR's but use a lapbar.
EDIT: Facebook is having server issues so the link may not work

They are in the process of removing the Shake Rattle And Roll building. They have removed the ride from the dome. I took these pictures on 10/2/2010.

The layout looks almost the same as "Anubis: The Ride" in Plopsaland. The only difference is that you'll be going up by a lift hill and drop with an over-vertical drop.

So it looks to me that you'll be getting a pretty good and fun ride. But eventually, it depends on the speeds that it will travel through the elements. [:)]

Looks really fun and exciting. One thing I don't understand is why Gerstlauer does not use their old cars. Euro-Fighters always had low capacity, so why decrease it? Yes, the V shape will offer good views, but does it matter if you have the perfect view? there is always going to be heads and seats in front of you unless your in the front seat, so just enjoy the ride.

only 95 degrees? I would've expected they go steeper with what they had to work with... At least 97.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Maybe SFOG went with a cheaper option.

Train articulation is probably a factor in that.
