Edit: love all that suspenseful poop heres the whole coasters

I'm making an Xcoaster. Megalodon it's for lack of a better word and airtime machine, pulling -1.3 gs on the first 2 airtime hills front row!, and a maximum of -1.4 in the back row. Thats comparable to back row on El Toro! It was spawned from a spark of insanity.

Image

First half of the layout

Stats:
Height: 215ft
Speed: 75mph
Length: 4,544ft
Max+ gs: 5.0
Max- gs: -1.4

What is a Megalodon for those who do not know. It is a giant and thankfully extinct great white shark.

Looks... Interesting. For an X-car, the layout looks a little sprawled out. I'm curious to see how this pans out.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

^It's not meant to be a traditional Xcar it's a Hyper coaster that uses Xcar trains with still holding the uniqueness of Maurer Sohne rides.

Big screen shot update, progress has been slowed by school but it's still coming along fine. At the moment it's still supports and scenery so at least all the track-work is finished and under control.

So here some of that pure sex I like to call the turn around.

I love the trains.

Shaping looks great, but couldm you fit in a non-inverted-loop?

I tried to put one after the drop but it was pumpy as hell, and the Gs were love crazy. So I took it out and put in an ejector hill.

I dont often "theme" my ride, so 3Ds files. I just use it as a name and for color scheming.

lol pure sex though? I mean, looks like a decently nice turnaround, but I think that might be exaggerating things a bit.

You cant say it doesn't look the least bit sexy, also the airtime hill going into it only looks weak, but the speed you have going over it gives it some pretty sweet airtime.

It looks alright, not bad at all, but I usually reserve the word 'sexy' in releation to coasters for something really awesome looking like maybe one of Maverick's twists close up. Plus not sure but it looks like your pullout from the hill after is huge.

Again, it's all just because of the speed, you;re maybe going 60-70 going in and 50-60 coming out, so the pull out and the airtime hill in are a lot more intense than they look.

Another screenshot update, a lot of work has slowed progress to a crawl, but it's still coming along.

Don't underestimate that small hill after the drop, it's on of the strongest hills on the entire coaster

My point was the relative sizes were iffy...I can tell that if you can pull off that (relatively) tight of a hill apex leaving the helix, then you can have a pullout that isn't so large, and a steeper drop. Speed has very little to do with that...it's all about the shaping.

The first half looks pretty decent, but the ending seems very plain to me to be honest. I know Maurer Sohne rides are inherently awkward, but that doesn't seem like any intentional awkwardness as much as it seems like an overly simplified ending sequence layout.

It gives me great pleasure,to show everyone the new ending to Megalodon. Like everything on this coaster this last helix is not to be underestimated, at the bottom most park pulling +4.5gs! But a new element means more smoothing which means extended release date, I first wanted to release this at the end of September, but for smoothing, supporting, and scenery I'm going to extend it to mid October.

it's more noticeable in this picture, but the entrance needs smoothing, and it looks a little oddly shaped.

I would suggest working on some higher banking and lower start into that helix to fix some shaping issues.

^there is one that is really just meant as a block to run 2 trains, and for E-stop, doesn't slow down the train at all. Back row off the brake run pulls -1.4. Thanks for reminding me to re-test the e-stop and see what happens with the helix.

Edit: Important Update, The computer with NL has a virus, I went to work on my ride and it kept saying Windows Explorer has crashed, over and over and over again. So I dont know how long it will take to fix, and I dont feel comfortable moving anything onto my laptop right now. It might take a day, it might take a week, I dont know. I'm extending my release date to Halloween.

I dropped you a rate. It was nice to have something I could tinker around with using my hands.
