Hey guys, Time for a new ride, and while working on a CF only terrained Schwarzkopf collab I thought I'd do my own terrain coaster on the side while I waited for my friend to finish his portions. Thus spawned Black Diamond a terrained B&M floorless. While the layout is complete it still needs a lot of smoothing. When finished the ride will be in the snow (I just cannot build with snow in the editor)

Enjoy for now, more later.

I'm not sure how well those colors will go with snow...
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

The snow is kinda part of the whole themeing, and namesake of the ride.

Doesn't mean you need snow over the entire landscape. Look at Alpengeist and Avalancha.

How does one do that in NL?

I believe the terraformer has the option to 'paint' your landscape.

The two rides I mentioned would use 3ds objects if recreated in NL, not a painted landscape.

I cant do 3ds files, it's a mixture of lack of ability and lack of interest.

tbh, although the terrain colours look sh*t atm, they won't be too bad once you get a load of trees in the mix. I can always knock up some basic 3D's for you if you need any.

^Yeah i'm hoping it will look better with trees, even I think it looks like poop now.

Right now im in the process of some major smoothing, in a day I've only smoothed up to the first corkscrew, it's definitely getting there.

here are some photos highlighting the layout:

I like the look of this, but the colors are still kinda gross. How bout trying a more tatsu-esq color scheme with the snow? I think it would look great with the green fir trees.

Those of us who were raised before the rise and of the great aatan that is the disney channel don't enjoy it when rides look like a pride parade.

Why do you double post so often?

It's not like you accidentally pressed the button twice somehow either, because there is a fair time between the two posts...

God damn it you're stupid ianko.

Back to Jer's ride:
Are you elements snappy? I'm afraid the banking transitions may be a bit too drawn out but that is only from looking at pictures and not actually seeing it run in person.

Yes they are, especially before that corkscrew, you're maybe going 45 though that transition. I dont know the exact figures. The drop down the hill isnt as snappy but It should still be fine.

Double post, and more screens, if the second one looks a little weird it still has to be smoothed properly.

The bottom of the mountain-side turnaround looks oddly banked; at least from this picture.
