Hey guys!
So this is my first post to the Forum![:D]
I would like to present you my newest NL Coaster called F22 Raptor.
The theming will be a military airport and the launch simulates a starting jet. The rest of the track consists of high inversions and low turns... like a flying plane[;)]
I already started with some Objects but i did only the rough shapes so far.

Here are some pictures:

Hope u all like it!

^^You also should remember the Immelmann and barrel rolls. I don't think aircraft pilots do corkscrews that often.

This looks really cool! But, are you using SketchUp for your 3ds? If so, remember to fix the lighting in Anim8or or Blender. Otherwise, it'll look like....well, the screenshot. BTW, is this handbuilt or tooled?

Well the Double 0G is more like two barrelrolls... The G's are about 0,2 vert. because of the leght of the train. The car in the middle is at about 0G's.
And i also didn't want to recreate CypherIII [;)]

I use Sketchup and i'll ofcourse edit the textures!
track is built with Newton2.

Well the textures, yeah, but there are still horrible lighting issues when you use sketchup. There's a tutorial on how to fix them somehwere...if you don't find it PM me and I'll tell you how to do it; pretty simple really.

Sketchup also has problems with double sided figures. Export as single sided so everything isn't turned to double sided, then for parts where double sides are needed, copy and paste the item, select its faces, and flip them. (Use flip normals in Anim8or.) You'll also need to fix the smooth shading along with the material lighting and texture settings.

Also, use fewer polygons especially on the curved surfaces. Having so many polygons is unecessary; fix the smooth shading instead.

Anim8or may be finicky with the smooth shading because it randomly splits polygons apart when exporting 3ds, though it shouldn't be that bad. Each mesh needs an angle setting for smooth shading which specifies at what angle the smooth shading will take place, so you'll have to set that accordingly.

Remember to optimize the objects accordingly as well; remove the caps of railings, etc. and other surfaces where they're not needed.

anim8or single-sides all faces. But in Sketchup, make sure you flip the faces that appear gray on the side you want to be showing (select, right-click, reverse faces).

Just check my yooutube channel to see how my 3ds are looking: http://www.youtube.com/user/fuzis

And once again it's created with Newton2.

parallels Cyper a lot... Well of course the lauch is the same, i agree. but how many hypercoasters with straight launch have been built? A LOT! I think the rest of the track is pretty original.

Really like the theme you chose. Track work looks excellent, and the 3ds appears to be coming along well. Just don't get all cheapo with the supports and it looks like you have a winner to me.

Let's go on with this one!
I decided to make a whole Themepark around the Coaster. So there will be two other new coasters, which will also be rideable in different files. The two other Coasters are a B&M Hyper called ''Race Driver'' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ajc-9Fm-tAand and a Intamin lauch-coaster like ''Desert Race'' called Rocket.
So there are always two of them 3ds, in each file .

Could you make a custom environment? It would be cool to have like a darker gloomy environment. Also you should add a test seat in front of the queue like this?

Not to get too picky, but those jets look like the Blue Angels' Boeing F/A-18 Hornets. I love those Blue Angels. I also like the F22 Raptors.

Change the 3ds plane so it looks like an f-22 lol. sorry to be picky but it would confuse the theme a little.

Another ride I won't be able to download. Looks pretty cool too. But, yeah, old, old PC. You going to make a video?
