Things are randomly rediscovered as not extinct, but that happens very rarely and often never with large animals like this one. Usually it'll be with insects, plants, or other less complex life.
These were big enough for people to mow down with guns, so I rather doubt they're still around.
Or I'm totally wrong and they actually quite small. I haven't checked any sources whatsoever so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I've never heard anything about it. Chances are there might be some still alive somewhere out there. There are no teams of people who's specific job requires them to find any surviving Tasmanian Tigers so who knows. If you wish there are some still in existence then by all means believe that there might be.
I for one would be sad to find out they have completely 100% gone, as for any species in this world, like the Dodo for example. Who are we to think we can hunt animals to extinction? It's simply wrong.
there is a possibility in the near future that we will be able to clone it but i still believe it is still out there in small numbers. most sightings occur at night because they are nocturnal and they HIDE FROM HUMANS! this is a comment from youtube about the sighting video
Compare it to a running dog. It's back and tail remain stiff, head doesn't pull#65279; back, uses it's back legs mostly, almost in a hopping motion. Back legs appear a little long. Watch a dog run and you see back and tail are flexing and moving, head moves back and forth, almost equal use of front and rear legs. It's not a dog as far as i can tell. There are some good slow motion videos of dogs running here on Youtube. Good chance it's a Thylacine, everything fits.
it bothers me to see how these animals were treated, there are some pictures of them hanging by their LEGS!!!!!!!!!! were are possibly the WORST species alive and the tazmanian devil and the siberian tiger may also follow in its tracks.even though the devils cause would probably be this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil_faci ... ur_disease but they are now doing something about it and here is an artical about cloning the tazmanian tiger http://www.worldpress.org/Asia/633.cfm but we are years from that but it could also be used to save the siberian tiger. it has made a new genera of science Paleogenetics. i will continue to believe until i am 100% scientifically proven wrong.
