With the Auto Support Generator (Wood Magic), is there a way to create just the catwalks, with no structure?

uncheck "enable supports" and everything except "catwalks"

i have a similar question. i get the catwalks only but how do i only get them on the lift hill

You have to use individual segment settings when generating supports. Just look through the auto support options; it's not hard to figure out.

However, it sounds like you're trying to get wooden catwalks on a steel coaster. You'll definitely want to be sure to modify them to actually look like steel coaster catwalks afterwards.

To answer your question, hit edit, select all, and then hold control a de-select the parts of the lift hill you want to have catwalks. While everything is still selected, double click a piece of track, go to auto-supports, and check off "individual settings" ONLY! Nothing else. Then go back and highlight Just lift hill, double click, auto-supports, check off individual settings and left/right catwalks. Voi La, you're done.

Then just go to the auto support generator and it will work from there.
