WOW!!! I thought this was going to just be another RCT4 type thread, but, alas, we have visual evidence that NL2 is in fact a reality...I think a countdown banner should be added to the home page as soon as Mr. Lange releases an estimated arrival date.

Well, sorry, I haven not been a member of this site that long. I am just tired of all these forums speculating new versions of coaster sims with no hardened evidence or proof. Maybe that is what sets this site a part from all the rest. I am just excited that NL2 actually is a reality...any way someone can ask Ole if he is planning on adding transfer segments?

^ Use the "search" feature. He said a while ago that there will be xfer and multi-track "parks"

Wow look at all those textures and shadows. The train rendering just looks phenomenal. I mean this is some great progress. I wonder if they have all the physics up an running yet. If so They should post a video.

And by last spring, I assume you mean like 2 and a half years? [;)] May '08 was the first update with pictures. God, it's hard to believe that it's been this long...but then again, check out his progress!

These pictures weren't on this site, they were on the NoLimits site and not that hard to find, either. Go to the NL homepage, and click news. Just search through there to find the answers to many of your questions. That'll also prevent you from asking stupid questions: if he doesn't answer them in his updates, nobody (at least, nobody here) knows the answer [:)]

I reckon our chances are high considering everything else that is going into the rides ie, transfer tracks etc. And when i read this:

Tom and Kevin did a great job in recreating the trains, while I was working in parallel on the engine to support the new train features.

It almost sets it in stone for me.

GUFAW... :O

Holy SHEET! Ole, I don't care how long it takes for you to put this out...I might be saying that a little leniently, TAKE A CONSIDERABLE amount of time to make it, but get it out soon! This is looking incredible!

It would be AWESOME if there could be real dynamic fog, and make sound/lighting effects happen. For instance, I would LOVE to recreate Flight of Fear's original settings, like the flashing lights in line, and maybe a playing queue line video! Then, every time it launches, a crashing sound would play and the lights would dim. And have it so the lights in the drum actually illuminate the track, and have the building actually block the light!
And if the launch aborts, you shouldn't have to reset, you should be able to push it back! And maybe a working control panel, and the LIM's 3 second delay, and you hear them all click as they activate!

I think I'm getting ahead of myself... maybe in NL3? :P

HHmmm...call me lame, but I would love to see a zierer tivoli model coaster setting, any possibility of that happening? *folds hands in praying gesture*

^The shwartzkopf style works pretty well for that, just like how I use the gerstlauer bobsled style for wisdom coastrers.

yes, but they do not feature the 2 seater cars and I-beam rails that add to the realistic feel of most zierer coasters.

Judging by how difficult it is to make them and how easy the fix would be, I would say theres a very good chance.

Lets all guess and speculate what is going to be in the game based on no evidence whatsoever!

I want a zombie round where you have to shoot the zombies from the coaster without letting them reach the track or control panel.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I was thinking if he can also add more types of cars also.....like a wing rider and maybe even a multidimensional car might make it. Also, maybe an Intamin Spinball or something.....
