Any one here have the Kinect? I just won the Kinect package from Burger King! I don't have an Xbox 360... for 3 more weeks! I've seen some commercials about it but has anyone played it. Also, what games should I get? Plus I just wanted to brag about getting a free Xbox 360 and Kinect!

Kinect is gay, and I have no plans to buy it, all I want to do is watch it fail, which is inevitable.

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

The XBox EyeToy2 is a waste of money and time, it is a gimmick and will fail as badly as The first EyeToy did and almost as badly as PlayStation Move will.

Don't buy the kinect games just yet. Instead, join Gamefly and try them all out the first month and then you can see which one is worth buying and which one is not. You can cancel Gamefly at anytime. Click here to join gamefly: GameFly????????? - Official Site

I had a blast playing with my friend's Wii when she got one, and I usually don't like playing video games, so I think Kinect should be great fun too. Of course, this comes from a total non-gamer... I've only ever played The Sims 2 by myself, so don't listen to me. [:p]

It's funny because that's all that it really is. Eyetoy for PS2 was bad enough. I wanna try out PS Move though, I'm intrigued by the better graphics and execution than the Wii

the Wii is a great game station because it had super mario and sonic and alot of classic games and the gimmic stuff when you want it.
the xbox should be alot more of a serious game station like the PS3.

nah, the consoles have their places.

Wii: families, parties and kids.
XBox: Casual gamers and nerdy kids who think they're awesome.
PS3: People who are serious about gaming and loners without friends

Hence why it is important to have all three, so that you can fit in with whoever you happen to be talking to about gaming at the time. But the XBox is pretty poop.

Why would you have to go into debt? Also, I don't buy stuff on credit (other than my house). I save to buy, so everything I buy is essentially already paid for when I buy it, no debt.

Also, $1000 is hardly breaking the bank is it? Really?

Well, aside from PC gaming obviously. But PC gaming can get pretty expensive, out of the three major consoles, the PS3 is definitely the one for the "gamer". The 360 is definitely for casual gaming.

I have both 360 and PS3, and the only reason I like my 360 better is because I have the worst possible model of a PS3 you can get.

Back to the original topic, yes.

I do a lot of programming, some game development, and what is known as "computer vision" so I have enough reasons to own it. It's worth the money considering (from what the people who already "hacked" it said) the depth sensor is worth well over 1K considering it's quality.

I'd say that the PS3 Move actually looks to be the best of the bunch of 3. It's the only one that leaves you with enough buttons to control a game with.

That said, there isn't much application to motion gaming. Haven't seen any use of it for normal games that can't be done with a mouse or thumbstick; they're all video games for people who don't like video games.
