Agreed. But im expecting a top ten ride out of this new version. To me it looks like it will kick ass.

Looks to me like collateral damage from a personal vendetta against a former employee that ultimately resulted in the destruction of Texas' #1 wooden roller coaster and the ousting of an useless executive officer.

I guess the good news is they didn't try to burn it down like Mean Streak.

Texas Giant was the state's #1 wooden coaster for about 2.5 years out of the past 10, from November 2005 until early-mid 2008.

Texas Cyclone doesn't count, Kemahs Ball Busting Bullet Doesnt Count, and Rattler was modified after only 200 days in operation to a point where it lost its #1 status. I seem to recall a time from 1991 to 2009 when Texas Giant was #1 in the state of Texas...

Outstanding use of logic there. Boardwalk Bullet has been the #1 woodie in Texas since about 6 months or so after it opened, and for some, even before that. Texas Cyclone was a great ride until the day the park closed. Also, Texas Giant was more unbearable than Boardwalk Bullet in terms of roughness.

Bullet doesn't count because its unrideable, doesn't advance out of the brakes properly, and every love cycle a train gets stranded on lift. It hasn't held any records or received any awards. (Two is not a winner and three nobody remembers)

Rattler doesnt count because it lost its recording breaking drop and has been so butchered over the years I am begening to wonder what is actually holding the dam thing together, Im sure its a combination of rust and bird droppings.

Texas Cyclone is Dead, and was never really #1 anything.
Judge Roy Scream is an antique and hasn't won anything other then being the longest operating wooden coaster in Texas, but then again nobody hands out that kind of award. (A broken one at that)

Boardwalk Bullet 44, Texas Giant 99....Hmmm....They must not take into account how fast they roll off the brakes.

No but your survey is flawed on the basis that it doesn't take into account ride attributes and relies solely on the opinions of coaster enthusiast. I am talking about raw facts, like height, speed, length, etc...

Despite the lift/brakes issue, Bullet is still a much better ride than Giant was. Giant was no more rideable than Bullet, in fact, it was the opposite. Not sure why exactly you're bringing records into this, as Giant hasn't held any records in nearly 20 years.

Boardwalk Bullet needs extensive work to make it rideable and to have it function normally. Certainly its shortcomings aren't affecting it now, but Im sure as Kemah starts to face some growing pains they are going to be making some changes for sure. Rattler is presently the #1 wooden roller coaster in Texas, followed in second by Bullet.

Bullet hasn't held any records, EVER.

It actually does have most crossovers I believe, but that's irrelevant, since records don't matter.

Neither have Raven, Legend, Boulder Dash, or any number of other coasters that are all better than Texas Giant. Records don't make a coaster. Clearly Titan is a terrible ride because it never held any records.

So what you're saying is that Voyage, Boulder Dash, Raven, Legend, Thunderhead, etc. are all worse coasters than Texas Giant because they never held any records? Rattler isn't even close to being the #1 wooden coaster in Texas.

So by your own reasoning, Texas Giant's awards are invalid, since it never had the longest drop, was never the fastest, and was never the longest out of all of the wooden coasters. I guess it wasn't that special, after all.

No matter how you slice it Bullet isn't #1, and Texas Giant is dead. SO what are we arguing for again?

Not really arguing.....HT is making good points, and you're bullshitting as per usual.

#1 in the world, no. #1 in Texas, hell yes, and it would seem that the world agrees with me.

Always a well rounded opinion from Freddie. [lol]

So I guess we can all agree that Texas is in need of a record breaking wooden roller coaster to fill the void. None of this hybrid crap, makes me sick.

I think you're the only one that sees the need for a record breaking roller coaster.

Record breaking isn't the same thing as good. Record Breaking leads to rides like TTD, MF, Rattler, SOB. Texas could use another great woodie, but so could every state.
