I'm pretty sure Ride Operator age is state regulated, so check your local listings, varies by location . . .

Yeah I'll be applying to Cedar Point and SFGAm as last ditch "poop I didn't get a geology internship" jobs for this summer.

So either I get an internship, I use my BS to put my thumb up in the air and hit go.

^ For Cedar Fair:

16 - 17: Ride Attendant (Small kiddy rides. Height check on the "bigger" ones.)

18 and up: Ride Operator (Work every spot on any ride your assigned to.)

Thats not entirely true... Cedar Point you must be 18 years old to be a ride host. They don't have a Ride Attendant position.

Valleyfair is the same way (I would assume all the CF parks are). All ride ops are over 18, even for height checks and kiddie rides.

I'll most likely be applying to CP when the applications go live. I feel like I should try to work there at least once in my life and this summer presents the best opportunity to do so before I worry about internships and such. I'll be living in employee housing though, so from what I've heard I'll get about $5 an hour after housing is taken out.

If you are seriously entertaining the idea of working for a theme park, I would recommend for you to find out when your park is going to have their job fair. For some parks this starts in January/February which is not to far away, chances are if you so much as show up to that and don't love up, you'll get hired.

Lol why work in a park for the shitty pay. I bag groceries in the air conditioning and make $9.50 an hour...and I get tips.

Yeah, I've met lots of chicks at work and have gotten lots of numbers...although I did give my phone to an op on Bugs Whitewater at Fiesta Texas and she put her number in it then gave me my phone back the next time I rode it.

Turned out she was a lesbian though
