that is the entry to the first turn, yes.

You can see it beginning to bank to the left, where it drops down into the trench that you can see, where it launches (underneath the section of already installed track) into the first major element thingy.

Sorry for the TPR crap everybody, but here are a few extra good pictures of the turn, the station, and some of the supports for that element after the second launch.

Yea, I cant see why they would put bare steel up when the rest is painted. It looks cheap and unprofessional for them.
