I need to venture back to the EC....BGW( http://www.rcdb.com/9463.htm ), KD, Quassy, Canobie, and hopefully knoebels will all be getting new rides soon. BTW, I wonder if the coaster announced by BGW will follow the same footprint as Cheetah Chase, and if it is going where both BBW and Drachen Fire once stood.

It will probably be similar to Cheeta Hunt, but of course, bigger and faster due to history. BGT Gets SheiKra then BGW gets Griffon, which is slightly better. BGT seems to be the test park.

BGT is the test park, they got montu, BGW got Alpy, same with python and lochness monsters, and kumba and well.. drachen fire.
And the space BGW is building in, its hilly and theres the river right next to it, so it should turn out to be a good ride.

Do my eyes deceive me, or are the trims off on the bunny hills? Trims are off the drop too.

Maybe taken off during the parks last week of operation I'm guessing? Or taken off for the off season.

Well think about it ... if they are ADDING track to increase the radius of the curve, this means more friction applied as the length of track increases, thus the train will (probably) be traveling slower over that hill, so the trims aren't needed anymore.

Just a thought.

Also, there haven't been any trims on the bunny hills since they put them on the drop, if I'm not mistaken.

it's not that they were crushing g's so much as they were sustained.

Didn't it spike at like 4.5 g's then sustained at 4-ish?

No ... more like high 3's, maybe 4 TOPS. They were sustained for more than 3-4 seconds, which is bound to be intense.

Here is the latest update posted yesterday by Amusement Wire:

The ride should be fully tested and functional for the 02 APR season opening.

The drop trims have been removed. Hopefully, it's a permanent removal.

There was a quick shot of the hill which looks totally done and it is noticable that the hill entrance is much higher...but YAY THE TRIMS ARE GONE!

Kinda like my little picture where I just raised the turn slightly and there was 0.5 less G's.
