Because the new TRON movie is coming out, i have decided to make a coaster themed to it. It's basically dueling motorbike coasters which are coming along quite nicely, I have the trackwork almost finished and i need a few testers, 3-4 to be exact. There are no pictures to post yet, but there will be some coming quite soon.

Edit: Damn! How could i forget! All credit goes to Gouldy for the idea.[:)]

Edit: No pics of the layout yet, but I nee some advice on color scheme.

Scheme 1: Rails colored according to track side, color comes out directly below the wheels, just like the movie. Choose support color too:

Scheme 2: Spine colored according to track side, color comes out in between cycles on trains. Choose support color:

DECIDE!

I prefer scheme one.[^]
EDIT: Black supports.

Definitely color the rails and keep the spine black. It's sexy.

Is tron the game where you are a bike and you make sharp turns, and create walls behind you, and you can crash into the walls?

If you can get the new grid's white lines brighter, then definitly go with that one. I like scheme 1 for the track also.

I think it would be better if you had a realistic environment and made it an indoor ride, the inside of which looked like that.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Yeah, Make it in a park but have the inside (floors, wals, etc.) the grid. With a que themed to tron and a park setting outside. Also, make it harder to see the station

I suggested builing walls around the coaster in OC, then set them to low opacity so they look like mirrors. Then export the track/supports, then place it all around the map to look like a reflection.

You should make the "main track" or the central rail of the track the bright colour- rather than the rails because the bikes only have a single beam of colour coming from them, not two thin beams.

I just had a cool idea. If you do end up doing it indoors, you could have one of the 90 degree 0 G turns up against one of the walls. It would end up looking a bit like that element on extreme rusher, but on a wall. I think it would work well on a motor coaster.

EDIT: Woops, you posted right before me.

I thought it would be cool if you did the thing they do in this video at 1:45.

Were one light bike jumps over the other.

I actually like the envirement right now. I'm 50% 50%. I'd like it like this, but I'd also like the coaster if it is in a building. Your decision.

Also was a very popular game at the local arcades back in the early 80s.

If you do decide to go with a indoor theme, make the entrance to the building look like the entrance to Flynns Arcade
