I was wondering, how did you make those grids? Or did you find them somewere? If so, were? Also, I saw Tron today, I loved it.

I like the way the grid looks. It's pretty nice, but I would make it more of an aqua color. I just saw the movie tonight, and the whole movie seemed like it had a blue tint (It may have been the 3D Glasses).
The movie discussion is for another time, and I expect the POV of the ride to be in 3D with a Daft Punk sound track. Hahahahahahah

I've also got a couple more textures that I made in gimp... I'm actually making my own TRON coaster now, using some of your textures, if that's ok.

It won't be in competition with this. lol. It will be a "Lightcoaster", as if it were a wooden coaster built in the tron world.

hah, its fine if you use my textures, just happy you asked =Pi might end up making some .3d objects to go on the coaster, and in that case, i'd share them with you...

Update!!!

support work coming along nicely, not exactly at a constant rate or as fast as I'd like though. here's a little treat to make up for my slow work. Once again, sorry, and I'll start working on it more.

Note: that is NOT the environment, the newton environment is simply for the supporting process so i can see what i'm doing >.<

Edit: Just finished up a little work that took a while to get just right, but was well worth it. let's play spot the difference[:D]

yay details

I said this when I tested it a while back, and The trackwork still seems like something a n00b could whip up in Newton in 2 seconds. I guess new style Vekomas do have that feel and look though, of cheap low quality newton crap...

I can't see a difference. I really like the feel of this coaster. Although I don't like the fog in the .env I liked it earlier. Maybe add some buildings from the movie in the background.

EDIT: Woot! 5000 points to me!!!! You added flanges to the track. It makes it look nice:)

In the third picture, why is that one support structure so much thicker than the rest of them? It doesn't look like it needs to be.

because that single support has to pass over the other track while supporting two separate pieces of track, one of which is pretty much over air....when it was any smaller, it looked WAAAY too flimsy

Edit: thought I'd post this, HUGE thanks to A113

Edit: new update:

almost done with the .env and a good portion of the .3ds, finished the cartexture, so here's a pic as a gift!
