Hi guys,

I have a strange problem when opening the No Limits simulator, sometimes (just at random) the framerate drops to 3 or 1 and that's it. (Even a map with 50 meters of track had this problem)

Couple of days ago i downloaded the new Nvidia drivers for the graphics card, so i have the latest drivers.

Today i installed No Limits again, and it just didn't solve the problem.

My specs:
- Windows 7 32 bit
- Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E4800 @ 3.00 GHz
- 2048 MB RAM
- DirectX11
- Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT (1758 MB)

I hope that anyone here has a possible solution to this problem!

Bye!

That happends to me with a track full of 3ds. But not with a plain track. How old is your computer? I've had NL on a computer that is about 7-10 years old. And it worked fine.

Look at whats running in the back ground. I had to turn off some of the like it would start up virus scans and frame rate would tank.

Pretty unprofessional that Ole doesn't have a support link anywhere in the help docs or his site.

Sounds like you are using a laptop that is using shared memory, the 9600 GT to my knowledge was never produced with more then 1GB of ram. If it is a laptop, I would recommend going into the bios and changing the video ram from 1.5 GB to 64 128 or 256 MB, it sounds like your I/O is getting clogged up from the lack of memory allocation.

Dumb question, I know, but "How do you get into the bios on a PC? That is something I have always wanted to know.

When your pc starts it say's: enter bios... f10,f11,f12 or del... it depends on the setting, but only enter there if you know something from pc's :) or ask a friend :)

Is it a dell, hp, acer, ...?

i've never known it to be a problem on windows but when in simulator mode hit 'H' to bring up the help screen then scroll through the pages until you find 'turn off solar flares' then try that.

This is not the problem. One time is still has a framerate of 99, and the next time (30 seconds later) it has suddenly dropped to 1.

It was custom made and not a laptop.

It doesn't work.

Yesterday i opened the editor and build something new and without any problem when i opened it in the simulator, and sometimes the framerate was 2, and the next time (10 seconds later) it was back to normal.

All the computerspecs i gave you was directly copied from the dxdiag command in windows.

Have you tried reinstalling nolimits?

Whoops didn't see...[sillyme]
