Yes people, it is once again almost time for our annual Coaster Crazy NoLimits Tournament. In a few weeks we will start off with the tournament again.

The tournament will consist of 4 rounds. The first round will be a free-for-all round where everybody can enter their tracks. The tracks will be rated and the 16 best track will advance to the next round.

In rounds 2 and 3 the members will be matched-up with another member and the only the member with the best track will advance. This means that after round 3, there are 4 players left who will fight it out in the finale.

This contest is open to anyone with a CoasterCrazy account, all you have to do is send in a track before the round 1 deadline. All the details of round 1 will be posted on Monday, January 3rd.

If you are interested in judging, feel free to post it in this topic or pm me. The staff will decide on who is going to be co-judge.

This topic is open questions, concerns, discussions and suggestions. If you have any, feel free to post them.

If one of the coasters is a GCI, Don't let ^ judge. I'll probrably enter.

I'll be a judge. I obviously like B&M (just look at my title.) However, when it comes to designing, I am pretty unbiased and only call it as I see it.

Well, until somebody else comes along who wants to host this tournament, you all will be stuck with me. The second judge is not known yet, we'll have to see who signs up.

Also remember that this tournament should be fun. If you don't like the way you are being judged, don't enter.

Also, I think we should let Ckmwm host it this year. It will be interesting to see how things would work out with him setting the rules (not to mention how hilarious the reviews will be).

I dont know how you went about judging last year hyyyper, but I think there should be a set guideline you and your co-judge should fallow through the whole thing. Sort of like a fact sheet.

Example: "Did the ride exceed G-force limitations? (Y) (N) | If (Y), by how much?"

Then do a point deduction system sort of thing based on those answers. That seems to be the only "fair" way anymore since everyone likes to cry and bitch about judging anymore.

I don't think there would be any better judge than CKidmwm, and I don't know why there are jokes being cracked about it.

And let's have there either be one judge, or two judges in which neither are hyyyper.

Right so what happens when the questions are...

-Was the ride realistic?
-Was the ride precise to designer nature?
-Was the ride original?

...and the judge doesn't know what they're talking about or how to separate (while balancing) 'realism' and 'originality'? Eh? Eh? EH?

the reviews would be hilarios if Ckid judged. rofl.

^ Thats bound to be a problem. To combat that, I recommend that the rubric be made public before the thing starts. This way people, I mean participants, can ask why those questions are then and give reasons as to why they should be eliminated or added.

Why only one or two judges? That one judge will either make you or break you. I would rather have three judges, maybe even four.
