While I was in Florida, I picked up something quite precious to me: my old folder of hand-drawn roller coaster designs, which I made between 4th grade and 10th, 1995 to 2002.
Those were the good old days, and in my early years of designing here I pretty much based most of my 'big' coaster projects on these hand-planned-out coaster designs. It has been a very long time since I made a coaster based on these original ideas, because the folder had been out of my reach for years, but now I have it back, and plan on recreating every one of them that I can in NoLimits.
Before I go on to the first coaster in this project, which I am working on now, here is a list of the coasters in my folder, including which ones I will be recreating and which ones I have done already:
#6 - "The Black Cat" (4th grade)
#15 - "The Rattle Snake" (4th grade)

So, anyway, now on to the first coaster in this revision project, "Fireball." This coaster was one of the very last coasters that I drew as a purely isometric view, back in seventh grade, approximately half of my life ago (13 vs 25.) And of the coasters that I drew isometrically, this is one of the first ones that is actually salvageable. (The 4th, 5th, and some 6th grade coasters were so ridiculously unrealistic that they were practically impossible to do anything with.)
Back in my days of drawing, I really didn't care whether anything would actually be built or not, or even about what the heck the coaster type was. They were purely about ideas. The idea behind "Fireball" was to make a coaster that was constantly action-oriented, doing a lot of things that weren't commonly done, and doing them with speed and intensity. There are a lot of immelman-type elements, as well as a lot of tunnels, especially near the end. My later coasters would get much more into company-specific shaping, but this one was purely spur-of-the-moment idea-based.
Here is the original drawing, which this coaster will be based on.
While I will not be trying to copy the drawing exactly, as there are a lot of moments where the g forces would be lethal, I will be trying my best to follow the exact same element sequence.
Here is the sequence:
1. 135 ft lift hill
2. 115 ft spiral drop
3. Large ejector air hill
4. Rising turn
5. Pop of air
6. Reverse elevated loop (like Viper's loop, but backwards)
7. Immelman
8. Triple-down into tunnel
9. Double-immelman combo
10. Twist-and-dive into deep tunnel
11. (something to fill up the blank space in the drawing here, and get the track re-aligned properly with station)
12. Underground air hill
13. Rise-and-twist
14. Final Brakes
Here's what I have done so far:
Basically, at the present moment, I am just trying to get the basic shaping down so I can make sure the layout is going to work, and will go back later to make everything smooth and whatnot.
