^ I agree with you, but it's still pretty damn good looking. Hopefully it'll have the Fahrenheit corkscrew snaps, but I think it's very good looking.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

--EDIT--

That's funny I didn't realize I was the last person to post on this topic. lol

Anyways, here's a pretty good video showing more of the trains and trackwork. No, it's not perfect, but it's closer to the real thing.

It will ride more like a roll than a corkscrew. There won't be any whip like Fahrenheit at the top. In place of that may be ~0g forces toward the top. It should be a fun element, and that extra rotation at the entry will make it even better.

I'm really excited to ride this in a few months. I'm watching the ride animation and there's a lot of really distinguishing elements. First off, the entrance and exit of the figure-eight in the air will probably have some floaty or ejector airtime in the front and back seats respectively.

Not to mention the hill after the last launch. And S hills. This is gonna be one delightful ride. And again the name is Busch Gardens Tampa..? lame

I feel sad for the animals. They already have to put up with a lot, what with the guests, constant noise, and small habitats. But now they are gonna have 100 Decibels flying over them every 2 minutes? I dont think so. Yeah the ride looks awesome, but i really think Busch should give up on the animal part. Roller coasters and zoo's should not be combined.

I agree. But I don't mind seeing a peacock opening it's tail while I wait in line for rides. I was curious about this ride from the start because of the animals. I was sure BG wouldn't be able to do much with the park unless they cut into the areas for the animals which defeats the park's purpose... but oh well. If the animals can frolic, then humans can have fun too

Pretty sure if humans can tolerate a train they can touch from outside their window that creates a magnitude 3 earthquake each time it goes past something much dumber can learn to tolerate a roller coaster.

I asked that same question when I went to BG, and they assured me that it would not bother the animals once they got used to it. Also, if this is anything like Maverick, it will be nearly silent.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

No animals really live under the coaster. The coaster hugs the path that goes from the entrance back to Scorpion.

Maybe you guys should go to the park and see it before you make comments like that ;)

Completely 100% million% disagree. The GP goes to Busch gardens for the animals and rides. my family goes for the animals and rides. Without the animals/ without the rides, you lose the whole reason for Busch and no one would go.. and they can easily get used to a little humming that is constant throughout the day

I'm pretty sure the roll leads into a brakerun and then turns and launches again... Not positive though.

^It's hard to tell what's a launch and what isn't, but I think the roll goes into a brake run, and then doesn't launch again until after the swerving section, right before the ejector hill.

Well there are many launches... so the speed is going to be pretty controlled, but I think this ride will have plenty of kick.

^ You are correct it does go from the brake run to the s turns then a launch into the parabola hill.

Proof: http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/updates/bgt1.8.11/
Look at the 5th picture ,at the top is where the brake run will be and the parabola hill is leading out of the launch at the left.

Note: This update is weeks old the parabola hill is finished.

Oh Ok. I was thinking it would fly right through the middle-ish of the Serengeti planes, or that big grass area if I had the name wrong.

Another RCPro update from yesterday

http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/updates/bgt2.5.11/

The Parabola hill is finished and so is the rest of the ride after it.
All that is left is the dive off the tower element and some turns then the track will be finished.

NOTE: Don't get to excited that we will see testing soon most of the rest of the footers haven't even been made yet.

This airtime hill looks really awesome!
Although the fact that some of these turns aren't banked as much as other small Intamins, Maverick for example, leads me to think that Cheetah Hunt probably won't be that fast. Or maybe Intamin is done with snappy transitions?

http://www.rcdb.com/3570.htm?p=19347

compared to

http://www.rcdb.com/9456.htm?p=32423

Overall, Cheetah does not have banking like a typical Intamin. It looks a lot more drawn out. In other words, Maverick seems like it will be way more quick and snappy than Cheetah.
But hey, I don't know, I could be wrong about this assumption.

It's not going to be as good as Maverick, but I think it will still kick serious ass. And yes, all that's left is about 10 track pieces...drop off the tower which connects up to the top of the first "s-hill".

All thats left is 00:17 to 00:23

EDIT: I can't wait to see how steep the dive is!!!

EDIT AGAIN: ^^ it's only going 20-30 mph there it doesn't need to be banked much at all.

The 1st launch is 20-30 mph? That sucks. And look at the S-bends and stuff. None of them seem like they'll be taken with speed at all.

No this ride will be fast, they didnt bank it much to have a cheetah feel to it. It was built to have more lateral gs im guessing.

I don't think anybody thinks of lateral g's when they think of a "Cheetah."

I'm not trying to be pesimistic, but the trackwork of this ride does not match other intense Intamins. To me, it looks more like the trackwork from the Motocoaster in Dreamworld, AU. If I saw someone designing this exact track in No Limits, I'd say it was inaccurate.

But, I'm hoping for the best with this coaster. I'm also glad that this will only have lapbars.
