Since I was unable to partake in NLT11, I decided to use the Round 1 template and rules to create my own ride. No, I will not take credit for the terrain and Park Pack items.

Now my main concern--as you see in the pics--is the lift. G's are -0.9 V on the incline and -1.0 V at the very apex of the invert. Should I release the ride as fantasy or realistic?

I want to make the ride my own, but try to stick to the Gueter (can't spell it at the moment) style shaping. And yes I am hand building. The lazy loop is damn hard to shape too. I did manage to get nearly zero g's at it's apex for about 2 or 3 seconds. That's good for my ability, so pot brownie for me.[^] Anyhoo, besides the fact that Muse rocks, here are some pics.

Just timed it, 3 seconds at -0.9 and 1 second at -1.0 at a speed of 5km/h, should be tolerable, followed by a 2 second zero g. Max + Vert in the trough is only 3.7. Or are the Euro Fighter cars very uncomfortable? Never been on one yet.

i would consider them comfy, now lets see, 4 seconds of -gz and traveling 3 mph with another 2 seconds of 0 gz followed by a 3.7 g transition...i guess if the 3.7 transition is adequate and is sustained for less then a second then i guess it would be safe.

In my opinion, that lift is perfectly safe and probably perfectly comfortable, but I still don't see it being at all realistic. I would say that depending on the rest of the ride, this could go either way (fantasy or realistic).

^Agreed, Warrior.

Abismo is what I was thinking, though it has a shorter transition section. I could make that part a bit shorter, depending on clearance restrictions.

The way I'm treating the whole project is this:

Gertslauer has asked me to design a ride of my imagination to fit in a designated area. You know if you had always dreamed of working for them and they say, "Design whatever you want, but make sure it's original and is worthy of the Gertslauer name...we want surprises".

But I can't make people rate like that. You will rate as you rate. I like to think of different ways to make a great ride and set aside, "just because I use that track style it has to be perfectly in that design or it's not realistic".

?

You can always speed up your lift some, and shorten that section a bit. I don't know how comfortable being suspended upside down for a given amount of time with Gerstlauer restraints would be, and yes S&S Screamin' Squirrels I'm sure have restraints that are designed for the given forces. But anyways increasing the lift speed will increase force on the curve to inversion, and decrease the time upside down, so that may be the best option. 3s is doable, but you have to consider comfort for your riders. I say if you do that, note that the trains/restraints would be modified to ensure rider comfort given the forces.

Those of us who don't have our parents buy everything have these problems.

Mine was top of the line in '02, a hand built system by my sister-in-law for my parents actually. So I did get it from Mom too, lol. But it didn't cost them anything so I really can't complain. It works fine for me for now. The FPS fluctuates a lot so that's what it was when I pressed K.

You know, you people are just coaster crazy. No pun and pun intended. So if car modifications were possible in NL, then I could call it realistic or just switch to X-Car. I was thinking about doing that.

I'll see what happens and post an update in a week or so.

Saying gz doesn't make you cool, It makes you sound like an idiot.

Anyways, I like what i'm seeing so far. Hopefully the rest of the ride will be good too. I love rides sustain -1gs for a like a couple seonds. It makes them real fun.
