I was at the point two sundays ago and it was really windy.Dragster
launched and didn't make it over. They tried about 3 times and none of them made it over the top.Finaly a train crawled over the top and they let riders on.They launched the fully loaded train down the track and the speedometer clocked in at 122 MPH but when it started to crest,I knew It would't make it.The train stalled at the top for about 3 seconds and then the ride rolled back down, all 400 feet. But people still had arms up on the way down and were clapping and yelling when they reached the brakes.I just wanted to know if you were on a rollback, would you be scared griping the lapbar as tight as you can and screaming?Or would you enjoy it?
I think I would like a rollback.

Actually, it sounds fun provided that it's safe and I wont crash into the train behind!

Sweet! Good tummy tingler!

If a ride does valley mid track, how do they return it back to the station anyway? I've always wondered being as they cant just push it

huh? what does it mean when a train valleys??

It would be awesome on a rollback! I think it would be better than the actual ride!!!

In videos, it looks like it just barely makes it over all the time

when a train valleys it goes down one hill and doesn't make it up the next.

vallies- doesnt complete a full circuit (doesnt apply for shuttle coasters)

and they dont take apart the train if it does vally. A special tow train is placed onto the track and pulls the train along. Kinda like a tow rope. There is other methods, but thats the most common one used. It all depends on where the train valleys.

In Mr. Freeze's case, they take apart the train because of the top-hat inversion.

It'd be a whole new ride if you think about it. It'd be a new shuttle in TTD's case. Ehh[:p]

Ok, think of a train valleying as an actual valley, or like a bowl. The train is basically stuck in this 'valley'.

sounds good to me [pshades], nice moment being weightless on top before rolling back.

damn straight, in TTD's case they get the train back to the launch part, then re-launch it, to my understanding

To my understanding, they close it just to piss people off then after 5 hours of "hard labor" they realize it is ready to start again even though it already was.

[;)]

Yes, they probably just try again.

Before I rode the ride I heared that if it rolls back,They make you get off the train, launch it again, and if it makes it you get back on.When i was there they just slowly took it back to the launch area and launched again.

thats what they do, if a train on ttd doesnt make it over the top the riders scream and cheer for joy and they return to the launch position and launch again! that would be the best

<<Coaster Launches>>
<<Coaster doesn't make it over top>>
<<Coaster roll backs>>
"Oh damn...it didn't make it. <<insert long string of cusswords here>>"
<<Ride Op redispatches coaster while praying "MAKE IT DAMN YOU!!!!>>
<<ride clears>>
"'bout time!" <------overheard while on break!
