First off sincere apology for taking so long. School can kill you sometimes.

I've finished the bulk ratings, I just need to assign numbers to each track. The paragraphs of flaws, likes/dislikes, etc for each track are done. I have 9 full pages of single spaced text including a brief introductory blabbering by me and a methodology section, so hopefully it will be a good wait for you all. I will be done TONIGHT.

All that needs to be done is I need to rank tracks accordingly and assign them numerical values. I'll reride each track tonight and my ratings will be submitted to Oscar

How are the other judges doing?

There's a reason why the official thread was closed. Maybe it's better to ask it in a PM, otherwise people will just be using this topic to whine about how long it takes.

PROGRESS UPDATE:

Hyyyper saying that he was going to be another week was not a good thing for me, because mentally it gave me the liberty to slack off for a while, and I didn't get a single one done on that Saturday when I said I was going to have them done. However, with that said, I went on a marathon session this afternoon, and the end is definitely in sight. I only have a rating-and-a-half to go, and will be sending them off within the next 24 hours. (Side note: I'm now up to 24 pages of single-spaced text on Microsoft Word, a total of 13,183 words, or an average of 753 words per rating.)

I'm finally done, which means that judgment has finally ended. Here are my statistics:

Disqualifications: 3 (all would have been in the bottom 4 anyway, so thankfully they were a non-factor.)

Total Words: 15,015 (27 pages of single-spaced text in MS Word)

EDIT: I had a couple of questionable tunnel test incidents so I made a note of them and am letting hyyyper have the final word since it's his contest after all.

Also CJD you've put me to shame since you have around triple the pages I do lol.

whats the point of making a FULL review? are they going to be able to read it anyways? If not, why not just give it a 1-10.

^ Because when the results are released the tracks can be uploaded and the people might see their tracks ratings.

Yes, they are going to be able to read it.

And I don't mean to be rude, but as a teacher-in-training I must ask what's even the point of giving someone a score if you're not going to explain to them WHY they got that score? The point isn't to get a "good grade," it's to learn. Just giving someone a score and calling it a day would be like being in a writing class where you spend 10 difficult hours writing a story, and then the teacher just gives it a "75" without writing a single comment on what you needed to do better.

That would drive me absolutely nuts, and make me feel cheated. So when I do a rating, I want to make darn sure that I let the ride designer know exactly what I liked and didn't like about their tracks, and how they could have made it better, so that even those who don't advance to the next round can learn and grow as builders, and feel like their many hours of effort were worth something. (Okay, rant over...)
