I've been working on this for a fair time now and I figured I'd get some feedback at this point. The idea for this ride evolved from the thought of a smaller out and back plug and play. Trackwork was completed in Newton 2 and is probably my best work to date. I feel like I have a good feel to Prefab shaping and I'm happy with the results. Time for some pictures right?

Stats:

Height: 112 feet
Length: 3060 feet
Top Speed: 58mph
Positive G-Forces:4.1g
Negative G-Forces: -1.5g
Ride Time: 1 minute 4 seconds
Trains: 2 trains with 4 cars per train. Riders are arranged 2 across in 3 rows for a total of 24 riders per train

I am looking for a few testers and any name/theme suggestions, but please give me some useful feedback and your honest opinion if I send it to you. It's not a preview, it's a responsibility.

Care to elaborate? Is it also herp? It would really help, because if you feel it needs more herp than derp I can certainly attempt to add more. I tried to have a good balance of herp and derp, while still maintaining a realistic layout.

lol I was bored, sorry. I can't really comment on the drop shaping unless there are more images, and I am not really liking that hill into the turnaround, it looks like it consists of a lot of newton-references

I was going to wait a bit to release these screens, but I figure you're right and no one can really say much from the side layout views.

It's quite forceful, pulls 3gs or so throughout and was something original. It's sort of a throwback to the flat turnarounds of the John Allen era, while ramping up the intensity.

Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble but the layout looks uncreative and too much like Colossos and El Toro... however, I actually think you nailed the drop shaping, which not many people have been able to successfully execute with a ride of this type. I say scrap the layout from the drop and try to come up with something cool that makes use of the Intawoodie's potential, but that's just my opinion, if you like your layout, go for it.

I agree with A113. A bit too much Newton reference on the turnaround, and the ride as a whole is somewhat unoriginal, even for an Intamin prefab. I can tell some thought went into the layout, so I do like that aspect of the design.

It's good to hear some opinions about the ride. I'm probably going to start fresh from after the first airtime hill, because IMO that first hill on El Toro is one of the greatest hills anywhere, and it'd be a shame to miss out on airtime at that speed.

I prefer the second hill on El Toro by far, though the first is still one of the best around.

I just have an idea to add to your new layout, but what about a Double up or double down? I think if you pulled it off, you would score a lot of adrenaline and originality points. Just a though...

Depends on what car IMO, in the front car, fresh off that drop, the first hill is just amazing, although in the back car I'd have to say the hill before the twister section is the best.

I've thought about that before, but to be honest I can't really see Intamin putting in a double up/down similar to the one on shivering timbers for example. With the strength of airtime that the plug and play's usually deliver it seems like it's be either really stretched out, or the pull up in between would be rough. Maybe some sort of twisted double up/down, similar to the ending of El Toro but it seems unrealistic otherwise. Also the length of the trains sort of presents a whole extra issue to deal with... I'll try experimenting and see what I can come up with though.

A general question as well, do you think I should add one car to the train and make it a 5 car operation? I know Balder runs 5, but even balder is a bit larger, and will probably end up running a tad longer than my final layout. Just a thought.

Edit:

Update! 3/4/11

New layout is under way. Opinions so far? The turnaround was inspired by a mix of El Toro and I305. Also I made some very small tweaks to the first drop and hill, they ride even better than before, which was already good.

Still looking for anyone who wants to test and let me know what they think of it. PM me your email if you're interested.

Trust me, the drop is fine. It's just the angle you're seeing it at. I've spent hours trying to get it right, and I know it's very close. Plus it's not going to be like El Toro or T-express exactly because it's roughly 30% shorter and tighter.

Yea it looks off because the turn at the top of the lift is more than 180 degrees, but yea I'm pretty sure I got the drop down well.

Add a Stengel Dive.I always thought that they could be able to build in a Stengel Dive.
All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.
