Unofficial Contest: FotM Coaster Contest

Coming 2011: A different contest for each month of the year, making a total of 12 contests! The Fruit of the Month Coaster Contest!

General rules:

-Scores will be awarded from 0 to 60 points, with up to 20 points each being awarded for Technical, Adrenaline, and Misc. (o/acc, along with any other notes)
-The rules for a month's contest will be posted on the first day of that month, along with an example track.
-The submission deadline is the last day of that month.
-No signup is required, you're in the contest once you submit a track.
-Entries may be submitted as nltrack or nlpack files. zip files are not allowed.
-3ds are allowed.
Terraforming is only allowed in the case of small trenches, or necessary excavations for 3Ds underground tunnels.
-Your standing or participation in previous contests will not exclude you from the current month's contest.

Info on the first contest will be posted on January 1st.


UPDATE: The January Contest is up! Your challenge is to build an Intamin Mult-launch or Blitz coaster in a dumbbell-shaped area crossing a river. Rules are in the template description, and will be up in this thread too soon. The example track will also be posted shortly.

Same template, the first contest just ended up being postponed a month.

to the exchange.. just put the ride name then the contest name after it in some form like (fotm coaster)

Congratulations, you would have won (Although that is one of the worst tracks I have ever seen) if you didn't steal 3D objects. Instead, you are disqualified, and the contest has no winner! I should have been more specific in writing the rules. 3D objects are only allowed if you make them or get the permission of the creators.

Given that there was only one entry, I'm rethinking this contest idea a bit.

Now here are the new rules. If you want there to be an FOTM April, then by all means post in this thread and say so! If I see more than three responses, there will be a template on the exchange April 1st (The same day that the NLTR1 results will be announced, but will turn out to be an April Fools Day joke).

I'd love one. I'm pretty well strapped for idea at the moment, and come april I won't be quite as swamped with work as I am this month, so I say go for it!

give us a good out n back/circular style template with a 3ds tunnel in there for us to use

Minor note: I'm afraid that 3Ds objects simply aren't doable. I am reasonably proficient at making sketchup models, but not at getting textures to work in No Limits.

A tunnel seems like a good idea though. I may consider it.
