2011 CoasterCrazy NoLimits Tournament Round 2
?????????Ozark?????????s Revenge?????????

Since the installation of their Eurofighter, Lake Valley Amusement Park has been welcoming more guests each year. Several little rides were built by the park but the park is once again looking for a wooden coaster to elevate the park to the next level. The management has purchased a piece of land next to the park to build the coaster on. They also bought the trains of the Ozark Wildcat, to be used on the coaster.

Rules
All rules will be checked in the metric system. Imperial values are estimates. Please use a big enough margin to prevent unnecessary disqualification.

-Must use 2, 12-seater GCI Millennium Flyers.
-Track and supports cannot go outside the blue lines.
-Total length at least 1400 meters (4595 feet).
-Maximum track height: 50 meters (164 feet).
-On the paths and parking lot, nothing can be build under 4 meters (13 feet).
-You are only allowed to use one lift hill, with a maximum speed of 20 kph (12.4 mph). The lift hill can be split up in several sections with different speeds.
-Other than the lift, no other methods of transportation are allowed.
-Station track must be entirely inside the red shape.
-Track must go beyond the purple line.
-Maximum banking: 90 degrees.

-Minor terraforming is allowed. You can edit the terrain a bit to accommodate tunnels or trenches, but no major alterations to the terrain. Also, all terraforming must be done inside the template.
-Minor 3ds are allowed, but can only be placed entirely inside the template.
-Trees inside the template can be moved or deleted. New trees may also be placed inside the template.

Template
http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_excha ... ?tid=17894

Scoring
Your design will be evaluated on 3 categories:
Technical: Smoothness of the ride, strength and integrity of supports, safety.
Adrenaline: Speed, pacing, excitement, G-forces
Originality/Realism: Are your elements/layout original yet realistic?

Sending in tracks
When you have finished your ride, you send it to contests@coastercrazy.com. When all tracks are in, Oscar will remove all the track and membernames, so the judges will not be able to see which track belongs to who. So make sure you include your name and match-up-pair in the email, BUT NOT IN THE TRACK, TRACKPACKAGE, OR 3DS/CARTEXTURE/ENVIROMENT. YOU WILL BE DQ?????????D IF YOU DO !
The deadline for round 1 is Sunday April 3rd 11:59 PM, CoasterCrazy Time.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them.

Good luck and have fun.

omnigeek6 vs leflo!?
If this was a eurofigter contest i would just have to hand it to leflo. No offense omnigeek.
But because this is a woodie, these seem like good matchups.

I'm not gonna lie, this made me smile, but... what? [lol] I built one decent wooden coaster, fairly recently.

Hopefully I can produce one of that sort of quality... only, that took over a year to make, so probably not [lol]

Just make a bunch of turns less than 300 degrees at random elevations with the occasional 5ft tall air hill (make sure it's weak for ultra realism), then put weak air between all of the elevated sections (or just have nothing), and TA-DAAA!, you've made a semi-realistic GCI.

EDIT: Excellent template as always hyyyper. Looking forward to juding this round.

I was thinking: Is there any point having CKMWM judge this round?

We're probably going to get 0.25s all around anyway [lol]

-Other than the lift, no other methods of transportation are allowed.

Does this mean that the station and final brake run must be angled downward to allow the train to exit without any transport?

He might not enjoy GCI but he'll give you a good score if you make it right.

I guess I'll have to make a lot of tests but it will do it, and this is IMO the best way to get a realistic GCI ride in terms of shaping and realistic pumps.

That would seem weird IMO as none wooden coasters manufacturer uses gravity to make the train leave the station... But anyway the rules are the rules, hm....

Personnally I've already got a nice idea of ride beginning, with lift and firt drop. Already got the building starting, hehe.

^... Are you being sarcastic with that first comment, about no wooden manufacturer using gravity to release the train from the station? Lol.

I'm not. Are there so many woodies manufacturers that use gravity to do it ? At least GCI doesn't.

Huh? GCI most definitely utilizes gravity to start the train rolling...

when was the last time you saw a woodie with friction wheels in the station?

Also notice how most woodie stations are sloped.....
