sunday 19th of march me and a few fellow ventured down to thorpe park for the opening day and to renew our park passes.
the weather was perfect and the park was not quiet but neither was it crowded, it was pretty good for thorpe with ques averageing 20 mins or so.
everyone knows what rides are there, colossus, saw, nemesis, X: there may be some ways out, stealth, flying fish, rush and so forth so lets just get to the new ride rather than a review for everything.
so storm surge. what a rushed ride, it really seemed like it was a last second install to say yes we have a new ride. its not a bad ride but it was leaking everywhere, it was a slow ride, the underneath of the ride was basically the octopus garden minus the rides and the theme was so vague the only scenery was a fire car, a few naff signs and a old prospector voice at the end. i really didnt get what exactally they tryed with the theme but it didnt work and just left the ride looking very incomplete.
i got back to my old theme park ways telling chavs off for littering.
hope you enjoy the photos to come.
a good view from the carpark is a must for any good park
hello entrance
the new pass comes with a loverly case to protect it
because im special i get a premium pass and you also get a little book telling you all the bits and pieces you need to know about the standered pass and the restrictions. spenfing ?????????130 on a premium though i have no restrictions
always nice to know where the wrench monkeys hang out
i still dont know if i like this dome or not, i think i would prefer a street full of shops but it is still pretty cool
hello half arsed ride, not a bad ride but only half finnished
READ IT, yes it dosent even sound like hillbilly does it
better than a B&M cobra roll? you had better belive it is
yes, i saw it first. get it?
american car number 1, wish the blood in it was more realistic
yes, i have saw the ride
face your fears: come to thorpe park on a sell out day
half loopy goodness but it still has 2 vile bumps at the bottom of that drop
artsy drop shot, NICE
i had forgoton how good this diveing turn was and apart from the 2 bumps on the 1dt drop how glass smooth this ride is. i love eurofighters so much
more first drop goodness
vertical lifts make me feel gooey inside, like a bogey
noted
i love the look of these trains too, very rusted looking and all scared and rough. a great look for this ride
oooooey gooooooey droplyness
2 birds one stone and i got a wonderful photo
scare maze? no not really. more like a showcase for the saw movies. some scares but i wouldent call it a true scare maze
WASHING MACHINE!!!!!
colossus first drop loverly ness. i like this drop as its fairly easy but dives into some pretty extreme elements. a great lead into a great ride
loopy landscapes
on a hot day loggers leap is a great ride to cool down on.
SPLASH, but just a little one
rocky, nothing more to add, move along
treeslam the ride, sounds fun right?
hello jayman
the noodles were very very very good. i would recomend it to anyone
2500CC points to the first person who can tell me what firght night maze exits here
B&M superb loop, so forceful but so nice
2 fantastic coasters in one shot on a beautiful day, really just shows how good a day it was
yes i love this loop
B&M wingover twisty goodness
have i mentioned how much i love this little loop
EXTREME CLOSE UP!!!!!
lots of happy riders on the way back down
anyone else love B&M forcefull ness
more EXTREME CLOSE UP!!!!!!!!
stealths paintwork is all detail, it is loverly and i do love the paint work but i still standby that the theme is wrong, name is right but the theme should be diffrent
everyone loves airtime
fruity goodness compliments stealthy goodness very well
a fantastic singer for opening day singing chart music. good singer rubbish music
great reaction shot
stealth twisty goodness
one thing thorpe park can do very well are good ride signs and names
artistic scenery shot
WTF is that in the water, seriously WTF is that!!!!
BIG BIG splash, this the big park splash
a beautiful small park, yes its actually very small for such a great park
get your thorpe park crap here people. really there is alot of crap in here
see another great ride sign for an unfortunetly rushed ride
the only themeing
leaky off the shelf water ride built to the absaloute minimum budget but hopefully give them a bigger budger for LC12
see very unfinnished
coaster crazys favorite ride in thorpe park
we all need a little more saw
twisty and perfect 0g, somthing the eurofighter does very well
a sorta nice view of the heartline
canada creak rail road. why theme any part of any park after canada?
ninja has a great sound track but then so do all the ride at thorpe but the best 2 are ninja and vortex
you wanted more saw didnt you
did i mention i think this cobra roll is better than a B&M?
there was alot of these signs all over the park, oviously they have either seen the videos on youtube or have had there own problems
upsidedownyness, is that a word?
and colossus does usidedownyness well
i dont know why i like this photo but i very much do
i love the sound of rush and the ride isnt bad either
upskirt rush
classic hussness, still a good ride by any standered
its the alton magic carpet, sorry i mean quantom
a griffon holding the thorpe sheild, yes this place has no history, its built on a man-made island on a lake.
heres the saw island from vortex, just a note here. most of the sunbathers on the grass didnt move all day while we were there. why pay 30-odd quid to get in then sit on the grass, theres grass in the parking lot go wait for your kids there
"can it go all the way over the top, i seen it do it before"- yes i heard a teen chav actually ask the ride op this
not a big splash but if your in the wrong place a very very wet one
X; there may be some ways out
this is the new park map and i really dont like it. they have tryed to be funny by putting LOLfaces on it with people pukeing on rides, on the floor, pissing themselves, have=ing sex and farting. im sorry but i find it alittle offensive and have sent an Email to thorpe park expressing my discust
indeed they have
iconic saw photo moment, i love how this ride uses actual movie props from the saw movies includeing this, the rack from saw3 and 2 billy dolls from saw 2 and saw 3.
yes more twisty goodness from colossus
more airtime from vortex
just to prove thorpe park has big balls
hope you enjoyed the photos, it was a good day in all there are only 3 litte bad points to the day.
1, all the single rider ques apart from stealth have gone
2, quite a few chavs about
3, there was 1 ride op team (always the same one) on 3 diffrent coaster which were awfull. every other one was great
