General Coaster Rating Site Issue

I am not sure if anyone else has noticed, but unless a coaster obtains a first rating of at least 7-7.5+ then in most cases, there are only less then 2 other raters, and that is on a good day! This really aggravates me because some of the coasters I upload once in a while do not get the ratings they deserve, and then no one else rates it! It is really ridiculous and someone should take action. I mean I rather see many raters rate a lower scored coaster than everyone one a site rate a high scored coaster. Basically, I am saying that people should be rating more often, and attempt to rate all coasters that are newly uploaded, not just those with splendid ratings or the coasters that are in the top five. Also I am sick of hearing people complaining like "Oh, no one rates my coaster" or whatever, when the complainer has rated like 2 coasters! Anyway share your opinion.

at least i'm glad there will be rated here, on a other site they don't really rate.[:(] you'll need to be a bit populair to get ratings here, but sometimes is the main problem that you don't rate other tracks. so if you want rates you'll need to rate.

I'm a late rater, but with a few exeptions your track will be rated in less then a week. mostly you'll receive a rating between the time when i downloaded it and 2 month[lol][:D]

As is state in every coaster I upload --> "And as always -- I appreciate any constructive comments (good or bad) as they will help me design/recreate better coasters." I could really care less about the rating. I am more concerned with the comments that people make.

A good or bad rating has nothing to do with my choice to download a coaster or rate it. I rate a coaster where I have a strong opinion or have something new and/or constructive to say that has not already been said.

I have downloaded many coasters (714 to date) and have only rated a few (27 to date). So find me guilty of not rating enough. Ratings are people?????????s personal opinions and I respect that. I can not expect, nor do I, that people will like and rate my coaster as I see them. Everyone has their likes and dislikes when it comes to coasters. That is the reason why there are so many styles of coasters out there for all of us to enjoy.

Well that is my 2 cents worth about the topic.

I agree with you fully, I'm constantly checking for rides, but also if you want me to rate your ride, its gotta look good, too. Or else I won't download. I usually rate all my downloads unless I get destracted, in which case your ride won't be rated by me.

I like good looking screenshots. If the screenshot is bad, regardless of the overall rating, I wont download. If it has a good screenie, I will donwload it and very likely rate it.

fact is Dirk, that he has rated more than twice the amount of tracks than that of what you've rated.

Yeah, ratings are weird sometimes because people rate on different criteria and have different values. The funny thing is, the track that is by far my best (i think most will agree on that) is my new ride "parsec". It has a lot of ratings (for HR) but yet, it has the second LOWEST rating of all my rides. [dunno]

Some of my rides have headchopper, and footchopper (for inverted rides) effects. 2 individuals rated lower for BOTH my rides (1 person for one, 1 for the other) because he/she thought the choppers were actually collisions. Now my ride is off the list and can't be rated anymore. Can I delete my ride to repost it?? Or can some adminstrator delete the rate?? (at thier own descretion.
