I wanted to be an English major and work on poetry. I've been told I am rather good. I enjoy my english and literature classes in my university, however now that I am 21, I no longer want to be that. I don't know what I want to be know, Psychology interests me greatly. I took about 6 courses in junior college on psychology, while still in high school (yes, call me a nerd) and I passed all the classes with an A [:p] and also I was really attracted to the cognitive part of psychology and motor impulses and crapola, else I want to have my own business, like a 99 cent store and run one of those. I could, problems is the location to place one. Location is the key to a succesful business, where location = demand for a store of that type, then one provides and bam, you've got $, however I do like the business aspects of a career, but I greatly and immensely hate the management and marketing classes I took in my university. It's taking me long to finish school because I am uncertain of what I want. So there. [lol]

Well, California is so packed all the time, you could start your own business anywhere around where you live. Since its so packed, it would be very popular. Over here in Buffalo, location of a successfull business is very hard to find.

Kind of appropriately, I want to be an engineer. Hopefully I'll end up in the amusement park industry some day.

you have no idea on how to set up a business do you? 50-90% of all new business go bankrupt within the first year, why, inproper planning, i.e. you intaminfan397.

Well, I always wanted to be a techy. Now I've acheived that, I've gotta find a new aim.

I'm saying the new aim has to be becoming a millionaire by the time I hit 25. If our latest ventures pay off, then this is definately a possibility :D

Also, the reason most businesses fail in the first year is under-pricing their goods/services. Competetiveness is healthy, and does help out your business, but you can all too easily take it too far :(

Did I say anything about running a business? No. And I sad CA was a good location, I didn't say anything else. And if you think your so cool and smart, i'd like to see what you knew about running a business.

Don't start an argument with someone who has only 6 posts IntaminFan matey - it's bound to turn ugly :P

Instead, agree to disagree. You can't possibly sterotype California like that - there's gonna be some parts of it that're better to start up a new business than others, some parts it'd be sucessfull, some parts it wouldn't. All depends on the type of business and it's demand in that area, along with the competition...

I'm not starting the argument, he is!

And I understand that there are better parts of CA then others, I'm just saying in generall, since CA is so popular. Compared to countryside or something, look at the different populatons.

IntaminFan397, this topic has a topic:
"What Do/Did You Want To Be When You Grow Up?"
Did I say anything about running a business? No. And I sad CA was a good location, I didn't say anything else. And if you think your so cool and smart, i'd like to see what you knew about running a business.

Therefore your post is out of subject, keep in line with the subject, want to change the subject, start a new topic. Will avoid confusion as there are some people that want to follow on in the topic.

I'm a racist? I discriminate against you? How so? Why you? I'll be upfront and tell you right away there's people here that I truly dislike that visit my site and I leave them be. So much easier to pick on them by banning and locking them out since they only hover the forums and spy then to pick on someone who is a public spammer of the forums. Your behavior on this forums lately has been far out of acceptable for the age group of this site. If you have problems with OneKoolCJ, fine e-mail him about it and take it out of here. Better than cluttering it up and then have me deal with you. I give far lax on this website, it is known for being a kick back, laid back staff, but there are limits too. I told you last night on the AIM and well, guess what, seems like it went though one eye and out your ear.

Well, this really is getting off topic.

All in favour of WWS removing the irrelevant posts and letting this thread get back to where it was heading?

And you do like me, don't you wws? *puppy dog eyes*

I've always wanted to be a fashion designer or a graphic designer. Basically anything related to the creative arts interests me.
