And then theres the fighting over who gets credit, obama, bush, military, etc. Its a pretty pathetic display on facebook right now. I wish I had admin rights and could see all of FB at once. Gotta be some incredible stuff being said.

On that note, Id rather not see it :)

This is the one thing that I think all Americans should be able to appreciate... my friend in class wonders how we can all celebrate and rejoice in the act of killing another human being, so I tripped him up the stairs.

This is a good thing, gives me a warm feeling...

Weird how Bin Laden almost died on the same day as Hitler.

IT's AWESOME that he's dead, but...

I also think this is going to cause a lot more problems than people might think...

I dont celebrate his death for various reasons. Not going to really send condolances to his family per say, but I'm not celebrating like everyone else.

Add on top of that now the threat of retaliation is basically imminent.

Osama's death changes almost nothing. Everything is the same as it was yesterday, airport security still love you in the ass, and terrorist groups still exist. All that's changed is that now Al Quaeda doesn't have a posterboy, oh yeah, "mission accomplished!" I don't mean to come off as an ass, or make it seem like I don't care, but the fact of the matter is that this really doesn't change anything or affect anybody here in any particular way.

THANK YOU. I feel like the only one who doesn't care that he's dead.

No, I care, but I don't believe that it's as big a deal as everybody seems to be making it out to be.

We won the hide and go seek game that was going on. In a sense, we ended the living symbolism that he represented. This may do more harm than good, but the thought that he was untouchable came to an end. Followers may realize that if he, who had the resources to basically hide anywhere, can be caught and killed, what can they expect of themselves? We have to look at the big picture. Sure, he might be seen as a martyr and others might want to follow suit, bring out revenge, etc. But, what if they actually think their actions through, rethink their religion and reinterpret their beliefs, and actually change. Sure, it's a long shot, but one that was worth taking. Is the world better because he died? Sure, there is one less person to influence others to do harm.

It's just a refreshing thought that Americans killed him; that's the whole prospect if you ask me. Other than that, his death is insignificant other than the repercussions it will cause... lol

You could stop buying shitty starter drugs grown in Afghanistan and Mexico and they'd get less money to fund "repercussions".

The US was already on its highest alert since the bombing of Pearl Harbor almost 70 years ago, the US finally found the unfindable, granted, he was nowhere near where he was originally thought to be, but, at what cost AT WHAT COST MAN!!!! The upsetting part is we got one of them and they got hundreds of thousands of us, not that I am not grateful for what our military forces were able to achieve yesterday, but, if you look at the score, we haven't even broke even yet. Killing Bin Laden to me is like killing George W before 9/11, sure, they got the head guy, but, Cheney would be the greater of 2 evils, I am fearing for what may happen in the weeks to come.

Please do not put EVERYTHING IN CAPS and learn proper sentence structure, also, while I am not completely against free speech, your statement does not make much sense.

I have to say, it has been quite funny this morning seeing groups of Americans gathered near news reporters on tv shouting things like:

"WE WON, WE WUURN! USA USA USA USA HERPA DERP!!"

Hahaha, Americans, how I did chortle.

The first thing i thought last night after hearing the news was the probability of retaliation. Also it's just a matter of time before someone takes Osama's place as an icon.

BTW I heard from someone that the soldiers wanted to preform a christian burial. did this happen or did they just dump him in the ocean without any speeches?
