So it's been a really long time since I've actually done submitting on the forum, but I've come up with a good one. Because NL is hiding the screenshots I tried to take, here are a couple of pics from sketch-up. The 3D's are junk and are there just for reference, but TheArchitect has accepted the project and undoubtedly his will be much better.

But for now, the pictures get the idea across. And please don't give me crap about the shaping, it's just a free-form track.

Before it is asked, the whole track passes tunnel tests (within reason)

Aren't lats crazy on that? In that last picture, don't the verts and lats spike like a mother? You said don't comment on shaping, but if this isn't the final, then there isn't much to comment on. From what I can see, it looks pumpalicious and painful. Not very resembling of a SLC, either.

I really like the concept, and the layout is pretty sweet and original, but I don't care for a lot of the shaping. Seems too simple to me.

It is a bit awkward because the model made from the construction kit was a bit off. It is a Newton-created coaster, so there are minimal laterals.

Some stats:

First Drop: about 100 feet
Total Height: 115 feet
Max Speed: 50mph
Max Vert G's: 3.9
Max Lat G's: .6
Length: 2700 feet

Elements (in order): Drop, loop, banked airtime hill, turnaround-thing (haha) into barrel roll, brakes, a few banked turns, final brake run.

I made the coaster specifically with the beach-side idea in mind. I am curious though, since I have *no* idea what proper shaping actually means, what is wrong with it?

I really like the area and concept, but when seeing those pictures, it screams little beach-side woodie to me. Like a cool Gravity Group or S&S.

About your shaping, the loop is all weird in your 2nd picture and so is the cork before the tunnel. I do like the Silver Bullet-esque overbank though.

3D's look good except the textures are not, but that's an easy fix.

I might be playing with the layout a bit. Meanwhile, two questions. Where along the loop should the max g-force occur? Better yet- how do I make a good loop in Newton 2?

And, in general, what are some general characteristics of a Gravity Group woodie? (I tried searching, but could find nothing useful)

Thanks!
